but i might be getting one of my bucket list vehicles.. one of these:
1969 Chevy panel delivery truck.. it's in nowhere near the condition of the one in that pic- it's a basket case that's in pieces and has a little rust in the floor- but dammit, it's a panel delivery. looking to work out a deal where i get the truck and some cash in trade for my T Type, which i've lost interest in and needs a transmission so it's just taking up space in my garage..
Awesome! I had a '68 4x4 not not a panel. Had two doors on the passenger side and just a drivers door.
Ambulance doors in the back!
Loved it! Very jealous!
keeping original or going LS swap
Congratulations on your er... free basket case panel delivery truck?

I have a 69 4x4 burb with the 2 doors on the passenger side and one on the drivers, but mine has the tailgate setup. It's a blast.

Total beast! Mine had a 4" lift and. 33" Dick Cepeks. And tan leather seats from a Volvo!
(Oh and "4x4" etched into both back windows for some reason!)

a 69-72 3/4 ton 4X4 3 door Suburban is one of my other bucket list vehicles..
That's what my dad used for his service vehicles when he had his forklift business. I went on a lot of service calls, and snowmobiling trips with him in it. 292/3 on the tree.
There's one for sale on RT 106 in East Bridgewater Ma if anyone cares.
Looks nice too!

Pft. You know it's awesome, and you know you're jealous....
OP - very cool! Make is shiny, post pics here.
hmm... haven't heard back from the guy... not responding to messages... someone probably showed up at his place with a pile of cash and stole it out from under me...
oh well.. life goes on..
I had a 57 Delivery for a while. Fun vehicle. A trip to the gas station was like happy hour at the local watering hole. Everyone wanted to come up and talk.
There is a Panel local to me that is tempting, but $3500 for a project, that needs a lot of body work, is a little too pricey.
Good luck and be sure to do a build thread.

OK, since I am predisposed and a repeat offender, I will let you in on a secret:
Getting a project with "a little bit of rust" is kinda like bedding a recently pregnant chick with the clap.
Everything CAN be overcome. But why would you?

There is a yellow panel wagon that looks just like that in my neck of the woods, I Always thought it was cool. I wonder if it's the same car?

why not? i'm not a numbers or originality guy: if the carpet would hide a homemade floorpan made out of flat steel banged into shape with a hammer and welded into place, then it's getting a floor pan made out of a piece of flat steel welded into place... i don't want anything with shiny and pretty paint because then i'd never be able to proerly enjoy it, and interiors don't have to look nice to get the job done.. in the case of a delivery like this: it's a truck that was designed to do truck stuff, and would be used as such.
also, i'm from MN... rust is normal here..

Last I saw mine it was on a trailer headed to Alabama. That was 6 years ago. It could be anywhere.

What personal life tragedy caused you to ever part with that?!? And OP, x2 on the build thread.
This has been for sale near me for about two years. The guy was asking a stupid amount of money for it, given it's condition (deplorable). I think he wanted something like five grand. It's too bad, because it must have been really cool at one point. Now, it just needs one of everything. He listed it as a '57, but that's not a '57 grill or bumper, though it's quite possible that somebody backdated it.
