Congratulations! A dream you've had for years is the best thing ever to achieve. That would make this feel really special, even if it wasn't automotive. The fact that you can also chirp the tires at will makes this even better.

After reading about mw's new Porsche, I am eager to go try my hand at wiping out 20 or 30 autocross cones with it. In the rain.

Awesome score and a big +1 for the fly and drive with your Dad! I did the same thing a number of years ago when I bought my F350 off Ebay. Two one way tickets on Southwest to Houston, signed the paperwork and bee lined it back to Tampa straight through. Out and back in under 24 hours, learned that I LOVE this truck and some wonderful time to share with my Dad. He mentioned the trip this weekend when we were celebrating his 83 birthday.

Dude, congratulations! I still remember the first time I saw one of these in real life (and it was a red RT/10 like yours). Still makes the hair on my neck stand up. Enjoy it!!!

I just saw a red one like that yesterday and though about this thread. Don't think it had the V10 though, maybe but didn't sound like it.

I remember in San Diego at the drags a guy had a blue and white viper with scuba tanks of NAWZZZZZZ!!!!!! when he went to do a burnout the driveshaft turned into a pretzel. Good luck with it.

All Vipers were V10's so unless it was a kit, it was a v10.

You sir are incorrect---- Buying your dreamcar at the bottom of it's depreciation curve is totally, absolutely Grassroots!

I remember the first time I saw a Viper on the road. I was behind him in my Scirocco as we were merging onto the highway. Of course he nailed it as the ramp cleared, and left me way....way behind. He made my car feel like it was flying backwards----- they are rapid cars, those Vipers......

Congratulations! Hopefully the car lives up to the dream.
