Oh, don't go exaggerating. It only means you hate GM, which is owned by the American government, so you hate the American government, not America itself. Every time you post that you hate the Cobalt, the government adds one more tap to your phone lines.
I don't think it is all GMs are bad. I mean my girlfriend's Saturn Vue isn't horrible for a small SUV. Then again it does have a Honda engine. I haven't driven a Vette so that is probably awesome.
Gearing. The difference is gearing. The newer the car, the suckier the gearing, for "fuel mileage". Go drive a new Civic, it will feel just as gutless.
