Drove out to Ohio and back last weekend, and picked up a real sweet Brat. Paid $750, it's a super clean FL car, and best of all, it has an EJ22 swap! Previous owner had to move away for work suddenly and was losing his storage space, so I got a hell of a deal. The swap isn't 100% done, there's a rat's nest of wires in the passenger footwell (if anyone can find me the ECU pinouts for a 2000 Impreza 2.2 that would be great), but it was totally worth it. I'll put pics up in a few minutes.
sweet! i always loved those things. "my name is earl" reruns dont help......
Does it have the jump seats in the bed?
Awesome! Want to sell it?
I miss my Brat.
I plan to go a different route with it (seriously, how many lifted off-roader Brats are there running around) and make it into more of a sports car instead. I'm going to put some 15" Peugeot wheels on with sticky tires and lower the thing - eventually I want to add the XT6 5-lug hubs and brakes and get the 5-speed AWD transmission. We have all the parts, just need the time...
Jump seats in the bed were NLA in '86. Easy to retrofit, though.
Sure, JD - $5k firm!
There are Brats running around?

Zillions in the PNW and general left coast, it seems.
The only ones I see in KY or AL are in pieces or returning to the earth.
awesome! There are four of them in the Atlanta area that keep showing up on craigslist, all from the same seller. He seems to price them according to their gold weight more than their value

I might consider a trade for my 70 142.
Brats always looked cheap and plasticky to me.
Caddys OTOH have really classic lines. Saw a very nice one for $2,500 the other day. tempting...
A Mazda with a 13B sounds pretty good too:

I want one with a Modern Rensis Drive line so it could be a daily driver with AC and pass smog
Where did you buy it in Ohio? I saw one a couple weeks ago here in Columbus that I think was the same color.
I saw a Brat under it's own power over the weekend. I think we were still in Kentucky. (It was a looong ride, couldn't keep track of what state we were in)
Can't wait to see that lowered.......
nice...and get some hubcaps for the volvo already!

There is just so much win in this pic.
Somebody p-shop in a Miata, an E30 and a P71 and it will be the ultimate GRM picture.
