Fridays are the worst day to start a thread so we will see what the weekend brings of this.

My ex-business partner was throwing out a steering wheel. This one.

I have always had a thing for wood steering wheels. This one is pretty nice. But there is a problem. I don't have a car to go with it.

So the challenge is to come up with a car that fits the wheel.

And go...

That's a thought. It would look pretty good in my Shamrock with all the teak. I am not sure how it would survive in a marine environment.

I had one of those wheels. That's all I'm going to say about it.

EDIT: Sorry.

Something that would look at home on a road course in the '60s ;)

(though, all the rule sets I've ever read for modern road racing specifically forbid wood steering wheels)

Usually I hate the chrome and gold look. But it really works for me on that car.

This thought crossed my mind. The wheel was in a pile of Mustang parts from that era.

To me that is the perfect 60s cord wheel. It would look fantastic in a Falcon or Mustang or Galaxie.

I think that's a Grant wheel, certainly looks like one, so most of the sales ended up in 'Murican cars I would think.

It is a Grant wheel.

Lot's of sharp metal edges. Crude woodwork. Sketchy horn wiring.

More evidence to put it in an MG-TA.  They're a match made in heaven.
