Why a time machine? Well, the Subaru WRX wagon I just purchased has 27,000 miles on it.
"But Charlie, that's not that impressive!" You say...
Well, what if I told you it's a 2002?
Yeah, now it's pretty impressive.
I've located one blemish on the whole damn car. The interior: mint. The underside: unmolested. The exterior: a few lovebugs and a little scratch. Words cannot stress what a gem this car is.
But pictures can...

Very nice, & well bought. Bugeye wagons are my personal favorite of the WRX's.
wonderful.. if you don't mind me asking, what did you pay?

$11,100. $40 less than what KBB says it's worth.
Probably could have haggled it down a bit, but that's what was left on the guy's loan (also, buying a car with a lien on it IS A BITCH. ARG!) and I really, really, really wanted it after I saw it. I mean, it might be the cleanest stock bugeye wagon in the States.

It looks super clean. Good deal. I am jealous.

Nice one! My MIL has one in the garage that just turned 4K miles. She was telling me on Christmas that she wants a new Mustang convertible...... When she bought the wagon in 2002 I got her 92 Corolla with 1800 miles so she has been driving the wagon a little more :)
You shiny happy person, now you've ruined it for me!
So fresh, so clean.
Love it, man. A WRX wagon is definetly high on my shopping list when it's time to sell my GC.
I couldn't own that car.
The conflict within me to keep such a nice stock, yet tunable car as a nice stock car and NOT modify it.... no thank you. I already have enough of that with my Celica.
Thankfully no such qualms with the Cobra, lol.
Nice bugeye. Next step the air cooled boxer. hua hahahaha
Hard to find a wrx with any number on the odo with no mods.
When I got stopped and hassled for 'speeding' last week, I wished I had held out for a wagon instead of the sedan.
No ticket, just a slow down warning. I was going about 30. In a 35.
Slick wagon. You will want to mod it. At least some sway bars an a Cobb stage 1 reflash. ;)
That car has a really big greenhouse out back!
Here's a 33k mile '02 WRX in Columbus:

It's been modded (lightly, tastefully) but comes with return-to-stock bits
Can't see it. Login required.

The current planned mods list:
"Stage 2" (That's a downpipe, exhaust, and a tune for you non-Subie people, good for a surprising amount of ponies).
STi struts and probably springs (though I'll do more research on springs for them).
It's a shame the STi sways don't bolt up, so we'll see where the aftermarket goes.
Wheels. Rotas, maybe the STi stockers. We'll see.
Tint.
The oh-so-stylish yellow film over the foglights.
I was just shown the "koji" front lights, and I like that look.
I'd like to eventually switch all the interior guage and switch colors to red.
Stop making me want one. Stop making me want one. Stop making me want one. Stop making me want one. Stop making me want one.
I just took a tour of it and it's sweet.
Poopy...you should definitely get one!

I didn't know you had a thing for bug eye wagons.

Did I mention that you can find "normal" (aka 10k-15k miles a year) bugeyes for under $10,000 these days?
Did I mention you can practically bolt-on STi-like power levels?
Did I mention how sweet the turbo is whistling away?
Did I mention that with the seats down it's freakin' cavernous?
Get one. We'll form a club of some sort.
I have a wagon...can I join??

I was a little jealous when you bought yours.

White was my color of choice. Oh well.
That car's probably good for another 80k. The mechanic that checked mine out said they see only one other wagon and that its got 180k and runs like a top.
