in less than 36 hours :) Bought a '99 Miata with bad engine Wednesday afternoon. INtent was to fix and flip. Well, I was there when the next guy showed up. He bought it from me today for more! Yeehaw! Sorry, had to brag a bit. First time I've gotten lucky like this.
I was imagining your car upside down when I read the post title. Congrats!
me three..
congratulations on the short sale
I made $3500 on an Austin Healey 3000 by just driving it home.
I scored a free Triumph Spitfire by trailering a TR-6 13 miles.
It seems to me that those deals are much harder to find now. Most people think their junk is worth a fortune. However, I guess it's just a matter of diligent searching and knowing where to look and what to look for. This forum is getting my juices flowing again.

Good.
I saw miata flipped this weekend too.... Of course that more of slow roll and he was happy to have cage. ;)
I sold my E28 M5 to a guy who chased me down the freeway about hitting my trailer the whole time.
Good selling on the Miata.

Nice! I've been able to make money on the last 10 or so cars I've sold. And most of those I've driven for a while before selling. One was a miata, got it for 2200, drove it for three years (doing timing belt and front pads) and sold it for 3400.
When I was out of work I sold three cars and made three mortgage payments.
it's funny... I only ever sold three of my cars.. my original beetle, my Hyundai Excel, and a 1972 Porsche 911. The rest I ran till they were half dead (usually due to rust) and then parted out
Ive never sold a car. I use them up and donate them to the high school I wen t to for the autoshop. Maybe I should start.
Congrats! I flipped my first car when I was 18, a 1990 eagle talon tsi Awd.. Bought it from an old ex GM employee that was sick of fixing it, paid $1000 for it, had a recently rebuilt motor and drivetrain, fixed a leaking oil cooler line and sold it for 1500!
The last few cars I've owned I've broken even on buying and selling, but they were all E36 M3 heaps also..
bought my 914 that had 47k miles on it for $4k, sold it to my insurance company for about $8k after someone ran a redlight and totaled it, I didn't flip, just spun.
