You could just drive it down here and swap it out for the Peugeot...I have always been interested in driving one of these.

I accidently bought a 260z one time....thought sure someone would outbid me. Once I went to pickup the car I realized why I didn't get outbid...man that car was a mess.
I sort of accidently bought the wagon that I have now. I was serious that I'd pay what I offered, but I didn't think it was actually going to be for sale then. It was an odd conversation with my wife.
I was a young sports-car nut in the 80's and to me that is the perfect CRX body style. I casually looked at CRX's a little back and they are a lot harder to find than the style that came after.
Actually saw that one on Ebay last night and thought surely it will sell for more than that. Was wishing it was closer to me. Glad it went to a kindred spirit. Hope you enjoy it.
If you were even remotely close I'd answer your question by saying keep it for me until its time for me to buy a project in a couple months=]
lol
Well, I drove it home a few hours ago.
The car is a little crustier than the pics indicate. Luckily, it still isn't a total rotbox, it's more about missing trim pieces, misaligned front bumper, etc.
It looks like the core support sheetmetal is straight as an arrow, as are the rails, so I plan to pull the chintzy plastic header panel and bumper this weekend to see if I can get them straight and mounted properly. Worst case, looks like bumpers and supports are shockingly cheap online.
The upside is that the car actually drove really well. Other than squishy brakes from sitting and an exhaust manifold gasket leak it had no trouble doing 70+ on the freeway the whole way back. I'll probably throw a fuel filter and a few sensors at it to help it run smoother but otherwise I don't intend to mess with it mechanically.
Unfortunately my phone died before I could get pics, I'll have some to share soon.
Br really careful with the plastic header panel and fenders. They are very brittle and its not easy to find them anymore.

Yeah, that about covers it. Not the lyrics, but just the name of the song..

Luckily it seems like the fenders are mostly intact, other than one of the turn signal mounts...my header panel is a bit busted up though. Not cracked in a visible area, rather the mounting tabs...hopefully I can find some way to reattach it properly.
I've had a busier than expected week so far. I have Saturday blocked out to tear the front end apart and see what is going on with the bumper and headlights, I should have an update by then.

Yep.
I'm not holding my breath on finding a Mugen cam or anything buried within, either.
That fun part comes on Saturday, or maybe even tonight if my day opens up. Long story short, I'll know by the end of the weekend if this is a keeper or not.

Man, I hope this works out for you. They were such great little cars, it's a shame so few of them seem to be left. I actually test drove a new one back in 1983 before I bought the Prelude. IIRC, I bought the Prelude instead because the girl I was with liked the interior better.
