I want a AWD one to take rallying.
Edit: At one point, SVreX had one for sale wonder if he still has it.
If you could stand a drive to Cincinnati area: $250 will buy you one needing a head I mean the gas to get there and back (387 mi each way) would only cost (based on the average cost of fuel) around $150 assuming 20MPG, which means if you had a free weekend and $400, I'm just sayin...

I know, I was shocked to find this out too. One thing to do is forget about it for exactly one week, then recheck CL, there will be 4 for sale in-state, all non-running, all for less than $1000
In reply to Raze:
If I had a free weekend and anywhere to put that car, I would be seriously considering it if it was AWD.

THATS NOT A JUSTY (it could be badged as one, but it is not anything like the one we got here) >:(
An AWD Swift (even in 1.3L 8 valve sohc guise) will kick a Justy's ass six ways from tuesday They (Justy) are underwhelming cars. Any small fwd car will be faster in all situations (yes, even in winter on ice in an actual rally stage), and get better mpg.
Sorry to be the party pooper
Yep. I've got one. Time to let er go. $400 firm to a GRMer.
It's a FWD 5spd complete car. I drove it to where it sits, but it has been sitting a while. So, it's a true ran-when-parked.
It is unmolested, and mostly rust free, but it has rust around the rear fender wells. Didn't matter to me, I was going to build box flares and make it RWD WRX 2.0T powered. I have since sold the 2.0.
Good news: its a 5 spd, not a CVT. No major dents, rust, etc.
Bad news: It's one big issue when I parked it was it needed a carb rebuild. Its got that crazy vacuum controlled fuel injected carb, so it's a bit of a complicated bugaboo. Paint is faded, tires are probably no good.
PM me.

Thank you, but I will not be building this car. Anyone else is welcome to.
After a battery charge it will fire right up. Just have to heel/toe it to keep it idling.

meh, leave after work ~5pm start should have you home by midnight...
Grandma had onre. Took driving test in it. White, 2 door,FWD, CVT. The trans went out and would cost about the NADA value of the car just for the trans, not including labor to install it. That car was CLEAN inside and out. I was sad to see it go since it was in showroom condition when it went away.
From "Car Talk" years ago: "The only show where you'll hear 'Subaru Justy' and 'Deathtrap' mentioned in the same sentence."
I've wanted one ever since.
I test drove a late 80's Justy with the "Push Button AWD", pressed it, heard a massive CLUNK from the rear diff, decided it wasnt a good decision. Ran it out of gas on the test drive. Went back a week later with the $600 to buy it, was gone.
Been craving one ever since

The Wife had one when I met her - her parents had bought it new. Red, 2 door, CVT. They bought the extended warranty which was a Good Thing (tm) - every 30k miles the CVT would die. We traded it at 93k miles for $500 while it still had transmission #3 working because she was pregnant and needed a "real" car. It was still clean and looked fine but I wasn't sad to drop it off and drive off in a new '96 Accord 5-speed. I'd be shocked if there's still any CVT-equipped Justys (Justies?) still running around.

Unfortunately, I suppose an automotive hostage exchange, while it might split the haulage costs, still isn't going to get them down to where it's worth hauling a thousand-dollar car cross country...
