I made a traction bar for my civic recently and it is now the lowest point of my car right out on the front. This is causing me to scrape it on everything when trying to exit/enter places that have even the smallest of curbs.
So i have decided now is the time to get some ground-controls to go on my konis. I currently run progressive rate H&R springs and have for the last 3-4 years.
The car will be used for: Autocross, HOPEFULLY an HPDE. And, this is the kicker, rallycross (i know rallycross favors soft springs, but it will be my first one and who knows if ill ever do it again)
Im guessing 8kg/mm (about 450lb/in) in front and 10kg/mm (560lb/in) in the rear would give me some decent enough rotation for crappy fwd.
My question to all of you folks is what kind of spring rates are you running on your front drivers and why?
Thanks guys!

We need more info, what year is it etc... different civic = different suspension mounting pts/geometry = different spring rates.

Oh good point my bad.
Car is a 2000 Civic CX hatchback with a B16A swap.
Civic EX 24mm front sway bar. Cusco 24mm rear sway bar.
Koni's valved just as they were when purchased new.
my CRX has stock (19mm I think) bar and 22mm rear bar 450 # front and 400# rear... course the CRX is a little less pushy than a Civic so it doesn't need to be rear biased... I've not done it yet but a popular trick is to disconnect one end of the front bar... suppose to help the car in the corners...YMMV...

....what? Ive never heard of this halfway disconnected sway bar stuff...
Back onto springs, is it understood that raising rear spring rates causes more rotation?
I don't run a front bar on my CRX at all and run 400/400 springs and a 22mm adjustable rear sway set in the middle setting. It rotates.
450/560 sounds reasonable but I would lose the front sway. If you disconnect one side of the sway it's the same as taking it out.
CRX has such a short wheelbase that we don't have to run much if any more spring in the rear.

think about it.. if only one end is connected then there isn't any bracing going on.... visualize how a sway bar works... by tying each side to each other... if one side is disconnected then there is no tying of one side to the other... the only down side is you are still carrying around the weight of the bar, but in the case of my Integra and now my CRX the front bars are such a PITA to remove that the easiest thing is to just leave them there.... dangling in the breeze as it were..
meant to add that since yours is a Civic it has a little bit longer wheel base than the CRX so it might need the rear biasing of the stiffer springs in the rear... when I a-x'ed and tracked the Integra I ran 350 # front and 550 # rear as part of a D2 coilover setup, the D2 shocks aren't the best you can get ( not bad , just some others are better) I like the GC and Koni's on the CRX better
