Hi guy,

There’s a older guy selling an 08 Escalade for 12k. I’m considering offering 10k and seeing if he’ll part with it.

It has 116k miles and looks like it’s in good shape. I’ve done almost all maintenance and repairs on all the vehicles I’ve owned but I’m not looking to pick up one that constantly needs repairs. My truck constantly is in my garage needing repairs so I’m looking at the Escalade as a back up vehicle for when my trucks up on jacks.

Anyone have any opinions or experiences with that generation of Escalade?

Thank you !

Aren't they just a Tahoe's with a whole bunch of fancy stuff stuck in and on them?

Should make most parts pretty cheap at least.

We have a 12 esv,   103k on it, owned for almost 4 years and it's been a great vehicle. No issue or complaints.  We haul around 4 kids and hook up boats, trailers, whatever.  It's been super solid.

i say buy with nary a thought.

Yes. That's a great deal even at 12k IMO. I have 2 escalades with 160k miles each.

Agree killer deal - value for the money is gonna be really tough to beat as long as you dont mind looking like a mid-rank 20something drug dealer.  Too bad those are the years of the really really ugly front ends where the headlights get cloudy.

Agree, 12k seems like a really solid value. They go for a lot more than that around me.  I'd buy it unless I found something really wrong/ major accident history.
