Cruising the NWCT craigslist, I figured you had seen that 1983 one listed.

The $500 325i in Middlebury had me close to calling. And I really should have called on the $8500 1985 Carerra in Glastonbury I saw yesterday morning. I just need to focus on cleaning out current stable first.

In reply to Maroon92:

Yeah, the 944S seems like a lot of work for no gain. Was the 2.7 developed for homologation purposes or was it a misstep by Porsche? I know some gains can be had with an intake manifold swap, but it seems like they are crying out for some sort of forced induction :)

BTW, a guy from Idaho has a 924S with an S2 swap (yep) and a few other upgrades. Dude who built it used to road race motorcycles and even he had trouble keeping up with a friend's built 924 Turbo when they went on a Sunday morning cruise through the PNW mountains. I think for this year's Portland Historics weekend, I'll need to bring my A-game to keep up with those guys :) Since the 924 Turbo owner is building his wife a 924S with a 951 drivetrain.

I don't know how I missed the Carrera.
