I have the car that would be fastest around a road course on my street. There's a number of cars that would beat mine in a straight line.

I have no chance. There's a formula Continental on my street, not gonna beat that no matter how many horses under the hood.
My only neighbor is a trucker who drives circle track. Best I can say is I might have the newest car on my street.
On my street there's a 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T (auto), a ~2007 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 (auto), a 64 Chevy II wagon with a 6.0L LS swap (auto), a 1st gen Jaguar XF V6 in BRG auto), an 86 Pontiac Fiero GT V6 (5-speed!), and a 1948 Chevy truck with a 350/TH350 combo.
The Chevy II probably has the straight line speed crown, but the Javelin sounds the best (as confirmed by the neighbors with the Chally and the Chevy II) and the Mazda5 is probably the quickest in an autocross.
I likely have the quickest on a road course, but I know that there are absoluetly cars quicker than my Miata in a straight line. Heck, my WeeStrom, once running again, will be significantly faster, but there are still times when the Miata is nicer. Still, it isn't about potential, it's about actually using the tool properly, and I doubt the OP's neighbour will.
My Focus is the second fastest by a good amount on my street for 5 blocks in either direction. If it wasn't for the auto shop owner in the next block with his supercharged 460 powered F150 I could claim the title.
In my neighborhood I can only claim best handling. Next door has a ragtop 'vette, down the street there is a guy with 3 914's and another guy with a newish 911 tucked away in the garage. There's also a Challenger, a few Mustangs and a couple BMW's. My Miata is the only modified car in the neighborhood. I also have an RX8 dd w/minor mods.
