Wife's car is coming off lease in the next 15 days so needed to find something quick for her.
So did a bit of searching and ended up in a 2011 Cooper S 6 Speed. Just HK Stereo, HID lights, 17's and leather. They had 0.9% so it was a super easy deal to get into. 2K off sticker and 0.9%. I think I am paying something like 650$ in total interest over 5 years. Thats nuts. how they make money on these things I will never know.
Also these things are a blast. Should have listened to you guys and got one earlier. Might have to steal this from her in the long term to do some autocross with. This is definitely the answer when a you dont think Miata is.
Hot linked for your pleasure.

Sticker was 26955, discount was 2000. With Tax and fees, 0 out of pocket 481$ a month. I did pay the first 6 months of payments.
Also I have 5 cars at the house now.
SSR
GLK
MINI
Beetle
Prius
And Motorcycle or four (Three in boxes)
Supposedly I am getting down to 2 cars and no motorycycles by the end of the year if everybody actually comes through with the money.
Awesome! Have fun with the wee beastie.
Things sure have changed over the last couple of years (now that's an understatement!). I looked at MINIs back then but they wouldn't budge one penny off of sticker. I mean hardcore. Gave me the "it's got the best resale of any car " line and "we can sell all we get" thingy.. So I walked and bought a...............drum roll please................Miata. True story. Still like them though.
They are still MSRP driven on price. I was able to beat them up a little bit as they had a huge amount of inventory of S's and it was a lower spec car with a manual.

early 09 i was able to get a grand off of mine. To do that i had to email every dealership in socal asking for a base model s with a manual and had them compete against each other.

Funny- manuals are the ONLY ones that will sell AT ALL around here. They HATE seeing autos roll onto the lot- they can't ever sell them, and end up discounting them deeply.
