I bought a 1990 Nissan Skyline GTE. 4 door auto. Non turbo. I have been driving for over a month and absolutely love it. I bought it from an importer in Delaware.  It just turned 100,000 kilometers.  Wonderful car rust free and I daily drive a Skyline!!  Just had to share.

Sounds like a good find, but this thread is worthless without pics.

What importer did you use?

Jap star . Met me halfway . Was exactly as described and pictured. I did learn to go ahead and pay for complete delivery I only saved about 80. I burned up a whole day.

Pretty car!

Were there any left hand drive Skylines that are now available for import? I know some people swoon over that aspect, but it's a deal breaker for me.

Other than a  drive through . Right hand drive is not difficult.  I am left handed if that makes a difference. I have driven both one  right after another.

Looks like a nice daily driver - what engine does it have?

I need to come visit and drive it.  I’m rapidly paying off my debts so i can buy one by next summer.  Hopefully i can make that happen, the LS1 impala ss is going to go away to make room and money for it.

Why is rhd a deal breaker for you? Honestly you would be used to it in two days at the most  I've had my rhd vehicle for about 4 years now and I jump from lhd to rhd all the time and find no issues with it.

I agree with Ross.  The Skylines are neat, but unless I can get one in LHD, I'll pass.  While they can be driven around their idiosyncrasies on RHD roads, to do so safely will inevitably require the at least occasional (and admittedly relatively mild) inconveniencing of yourself and others.  At the very least, off the top of my head, with larger (slower) vehicles in front of you on two-lane roads or left hand turn lanes.  Minor though it my be, it's an inconvenience that still just doesn't really seem worth it to me when there is no shortage of other interesting cars out the that require no such compromises.  There is a reason that regardless of air, land, or sea, oncoming vehicles are always intended to pass each other with the person in control towards the centerline between the two...Of course, there's also my inherent aversion to the JDM-4-lyfe crowd, who reverently seek out RHD like it's some kind of holy grail.

Congrats on the car though!  It looks great.  I do otherwise generally like them, and am glad you're thoroughly enjoying yours.

A lot of cool Japanese stuff is becoming available to import now, not just Skylines. I see where the JZX90 Toyota is now importable. Sedan, manual trans, Torsen differential, 1JZ-GTE power. Yes please.

Cool.  I also have zero problem moving from right hand drive countries to left hand drive countries.  Never drove lhd in the U.K. or rhd in the U.S. so that might be weird.  What I have a funny immediate mix-up is moving from my auto S-ER to my M/T SE and vice versa even worse from the auto S-10 to the auto SE-R. laugh  Love Nissans btw.

I had a RHD Hilux for a while and are other vehicles were LHD. Swapping back and forth the only issue I had was occasionally turning the wipers instead of signals.
