So I started searching for cars on AT for lack of nothing better to do. I found a 95 stripper miata 190K miles, never seen snow, with hardtop, $2300. Now, I already have a nice 96 driver that's too nice to turn into a track car. On paper this looks like a good opportunity to make into a track/race car. I've done DE for 20 years but never did the full race thing (always wanted to). Could this pass as a lemons/chump race car? Some other series that won't be too serious. I don't have the time to shoot for a national championship. The worst case, I have a 2nd DE/autocross car but I really would like to try my hand at racing. What say everyone?

In the long run it I way cheaper to by someone's cast off track car. Yes it is more up front but in the long run it will save you lots if time and cash.

A good way to do this I see I you can rent a potential car for an event before purchasing.
