I thought I found a smokin' deal on craigslist. I'm just surprised- the seller said he listed them several times and no one wanted them.

They are new in the box, in the plastic, with the center caps Konig Rewinds, gunmetal in 14 x 7 for my Celica. $250 for the four of them. I know if I bought them new it would be $400+ before shipping. So I thought I did great. Just seems weird that he had trouble moving them. I love how they look and they'll be awesome on Tom Celica.

15 lbs. That's not bad.

Yeah, sorry.

I got them out. He had two out of the plastic, and they had dust on them. Looks like he was sanding something. He had a neat 4x4 rig in his garage and a trailer he made himself, so no surprise, really.

One of them has a very small scratch on it. But, I mean, like, really small. Not a problem at all. I rinsed off the two dusty ones, dried them off and put them back in the plastic bags. Good as new. All center caps accounted for and in their plastic bags.

Cool. I'm happy.

I'm guessing that the seller was a NASA member.

Ooo... nice. I'd love of set of those for my E30, but when I look at the Konig site, I'm never quite sure which style the E30 would get. The deep-dish version like yours, or the less dish version I don't like as much.

I have been thinking of those for my Classic 900

the low-offset ones with the deeper lip are for RWD cars, where the high-offset are for FWD.

If anyone is thinking about Konig wheels, join NASA. For $40, you get a free subscription to GRM and a huge discount on Konig wheels.

Nice find! Those'll look most excellent on Tom Celica. Pretty much the perfect wheels for it, short of some stupid-expensive 'period' JDM bling.

What sort of discount are we talking about?

They were cheap because no one wants 14" wheels anymore. Good for you, bad for the seller.

Yeah... 14x7 is not a popular size for the kinds of folks that want that style of wheel right now. I think they'd be great on '70s Toyota Celica/Corolla/Corona, but also seems a good size for a Miata.

From NASA Mid Atlantic website: "NASA members can purchase any Konig 15-inch wheel for $55 and any Konig 17-inch wheel for $75."

That is a deal.

That's all I could figure.

I don't think the guy is a NASA member. He has had them for a few years. Bought them for a 240Z, but never put them on. Ended up selling the car, then got tired of tripping over them.

Yeah, that's actually a good deal - too bad they don't have anything wider than 7" in 15" diameter.

I'm bummed that 16s aren't specified in the deal... I'd love a set of 16x7 0 offset Rewinds for our newly inherited 280ZX.

Do they really mean ANY 15" wheel???? That seems too good to be true, is there some sort of limit? Are they really heavy or something?

In reply to Joshua:

They aren't too bad. Their site says mine are 13 lbs. My scale says 15. Kinda light-ish, I guess. 15s are probably a tic heavier.

Also, there seems to be a lot of chatter on the interwebs about Konig's being really low quality and breaking from autocross, can anyone comment on their strength?

I have konig foils on my miata. They have held up to a seasons autocross abuse and street driving without cracking. That said, I have a minor bend in one from a pothole hit at an auto-x. Was a hard hit, not anything that caused concern over its strength, it held up.
