...and bought my dream car!
After many years of studying and hard work, I decided that I was in a comfortable enough place to make an "irresponsible financial decision" (my mom's words, not mine).
2016 Cayman GTS/
6 Speed Manual/
Torque Vectoring/
X73 fixed rate suspension/
Minimal options otherwise
I am absolutely in love with the car, and desperately trying to drive it as much as possible before the winter arrives. Super happy I grabbed a new one before the 4 cylinder models completely take over...the sound this motor makes is incredible. Some terrible phone pics...
If you all will excuse me, I'm gonna go for another drive
I like the contrasting wheels. Fantastic car!
Congratulations! Currently on my dream car list. That is a gorgeous car, nicer looking than the bigger brother 911 in my opinion.
Very nice car! I hate you.
I wouldn't call that an "irresponsible financial decision", I would call it "culpable quality of life decision".
Enjoy it to the fullest!
That is beautiful! Wonderful car. Tell your mom the resale value down the road will be great!
Nice!!
...now where's that "drool" icon...

Haha, unfortunately I'm not sure that she'd care. Her thought process is that the purchase of this car is depriving her of any grandchildren in the near future, so nothing will change her mind about it!

I'm biased, of course, but I thought so as well. I test drove a bunch of 911s, including the GT3. I loved them all, but the Cayman felt much better to me from a size perspective. I am of short stature (5'7", 130 lbs), so I felt like I "fit better" in the Cayman. The GT3 was close to the top of my list as well, but no clutch pedal meant it was a no go. This car is a definite keeper for me!!!
Beautiful. Especially in white.
You chose well, resale should be fantastic on the 981 GTS cars as well as they were the top of the line last of the flat 6 cars (with exception of the hyper rare GT4)

I would think a Porsche could help make grandkids more likely.
Better check the owners manual but I believe it's states after the break in period you must attend an autocross / DE event to keep her healthy.
Meh, fair at best.
(PLEASE NOTICE THE WINK EMOTICON AND UNDERSTAND THAT I AM KIDDING!)

That is definitely part of the plan!!! I cannot wait to run her at Mid-Ohio come springtime!

I approve. (not that you need my approval, but that is damn fine car you bought)
Well, it's no NA Miata but it'll have to do I guess. Congrats :)
