I was parked straight.

They just missed the bike. Lucky them.

This is what happens when an uncle decides he's too druck to back the truck out, so he decides to let his 9-YEAR-OLD back the truck out!

I'm lucky the neighbors saw. The city attorney will decide if they want to prosecute the uncle for hit and run. (He lied to both me and the cop)

I already called the insurance. Here's hoping he's paid up! (his card was out of date)

The damage is worse than it looks.

Check the Geneva Convention. I believe willfully banging up a cool old Beetle race car is punishable by firing squad.

Across the way. The wheel was turned when he hit the gas.

Sounds a lot like child endangerment to me.

I mean, I've been drunk before, but I've never been close to saying, 'Hey kid, can you see over this steering wheel? Well, all you're going is backwards anyways."

Ya depending on how POed you are dropping a dime to DSS could really be allot worse than anything else.

And you may be doing the kid a favor in the long run.

If I hadn't sworn off violence, you'd be buying enough ammonia to dissolve the corpse.

Man, someone from your own family is responsible for this (and then lied?!?!)...that's double points for the "shiny happy person" World Championship. Keep us updated.

Oh man thats awful! I cannot believe somebody let a 9 year old move their truck! Hopefully you have no problems getting paid for the damage!

That is awful . I hope his insurance coughs up.

On a lighter note, congrats on the sponsor .

That blows. Is the Caravan with the missing back bumper the culprit or just more collateral damage?

Good luck with the repairs and the retribution.

The insurance co is "trying to determine if the driver had permission"

This may take awhile.

I don't know who you're insurance compnay is, but it might be worth a call to them. My compnay would hook me up and then send their lawyers to that insurance company to wring the money out of them. That is a load of crap.

I would find a lawyer, not an ambulance chaiser mind you, but someone who will pick a phone and rattle some cages. It sounds to me like a blow off.

you know, I hate to say it.. but the insurance may try and fight it because the 9 yo was driving.

Yeah, sounds like his insurance is going to try to get him to say the kid took the car without the insured's permission, and absolve themselves of responsibility.

Time to lawyer up.

the guy was too drunk to drive so he let the 9 year old back the truck out of the spot? what was going to happen next- was the guy not too drunk to drive after the truck was out of the parking spot?

As an insurance adjuster, we would probably cover it...the kid was a permissive user of the truck, the license doesn't matter to the policy. Liability is not in question, it is clear, the question is permissive use
