I'd probably take the Hyundai first though. Simply put, if I'm actually going to put any kind of real money into a car, I want it to get great mileage, and be highly covered, and modifiable once paid of. If I ever actually get hired I really like the 2.0T R-Spec Genesis Coupe.
Truth be told, if I get hired at *real* money I'd probably buy a Vette. I like the Camaro, but looking at used Z06 prices makes me wonder if back seats are relevant...
Be careful..that's the road that led me to the Sky Redline we just got (used). 2 liter turbo with great power in stock trim, and in a few weeks I ought to have GM's tune loaded for even better power. 290 hp/340 ft lb with a fully transferrable 100k powertrain warranty in a very good looking, fun to drive car. The powertrain is awesome, power delivery is definitely the best of any turbo engine I've ever driven. A back seat? Storage? Towing? That's what the other vehicles I've got are for. Oh yeah, and I got 32 mpg on the last tank full.

that its made by GM.
Of all the things to bag on GM for...the engine? GM makes some pretty fantastic engines, so I'm not sure where you were going with that comment.

I just ordered the kit for our Solstice GXP a few minutes ago....I can't wait to get it in.
As for Wowak's comments I thought it a little surprising....well maybe not on this board.
Yeah GM has some very good engines and the technology coming down the pipe is pretty good looking. GM just has to live long enough to get the new engines and engine management systems out there.
How do you like your solstice? How practical is it for a DD and trips?

X-28?
Keys were a bit to close together and no coffee.
I am sure that they will be out here dragging soon, that is if they really go through with providing Bodies in White for track/stripper racers.
7K for a body done and ready to go is not bad, figure 30-40K for the motor and 20-30K for the rest and you would have a hell of a racecar.
ZR1 and some suspension and hold onto your hat.s
There's an SS, but no Z28, so you still have no excuse!
I think the camaro's the best thing GM's done in a while - as far as getting the general car-buying public excited. That's what the brand needs - a car that people will drive by the dealership just to look at. The styling is okay, but not a home run. Sadly for Ford, it's almost interchangeable with the 2010 Stang. The engines are the M36 E3, but when you tie them down with the rest of the boat-anchor car, they lose a lot of potential.
Our arguments come the den of sportscar worship. Everyone else in the country says "OOH! a 425hp Camaro!"
We say "It weighs WHAT??!!"
If real performance trumped image, Dodge wouldn't have sold their weight in Chargers. Talk about your worthless pigs....

No there is a Z28 coming, or did they axe it. They had the specs on a few of the drag sites a while back. LS7 with 6 speed combo.
Hasn't been a Z28 coming for a looooong time now. SS is it. 425HP was enough.
The LS7/T56/body-in-white is Chevy's Super Stock racecar program (like Ford's Cobra Jet, and the lost-a-thousand-pounds Challenger with a pushrod small block).
Isn't it great that they've been advertising the car and hyping it up for so long that we've all forgotten exactly what variants they ARE offering.
Way to go GM marketing division!
