In reply to JamesMcD :

well. maybe. but that's not what confession is for.

but I do have a faux confession because I'm talking about it's existence and that was wondering why I couldn't get the red interior on an Altima coupe with the Malbec Black paint.  I still harbor a lottery winners dream of buying two to make one. smiley

Wait, if you won a big lottery jackpot you'd buy not one, but two altimas?

One more vote against pearl white.  Hate it.

Especially when refinished.  Probably 99% of body shops can't match tri coat finishes.

I don't know why they even have the base top, it's pretty loud if you actually want to use the car for anything beyond Sunday cruising. Car mag noise measurements don't show a huge difference, but there seems to be a greater subjective advantage with the GT top. I understand how manufacturers create a bunch of little incentives to get people to move up packages, but the top is a bigger deal.

Get Soul Red. :)

Pearl white is beautiful. You're just wrong.

Blah. My 350Z was pearl white, no matter how clean and waxed it was always looked grimy.

That said, after looking at it some more. I think the black, black top, with auburn interior will look better anyway.

White with auburn interior.........then do you go black top or brown top?

Maybe Nissan just sucks at pearl white? laugh

This is entirely possible!

We stayed up a bit late last night, so once I get cleaned up, going to run by the closer Mazda dealer and see if they want to be reasonable on trade in for the 135i.

Regardless of color, the Miata will be great.

Agreed. The 135 is a great car, but I'm looking forward to getting back into a smaller roadster.

It will be Miata #3!

In reply to Snrub :

Probably because most Miatae are bought as exactly that, Sunday cruisers. If the base soft top isn't any louder than the previous ones, then regardless of how much quieter the upgraded one is, the base one should be perfectly acceptable for the club level buyers.
