My 14 year old son is becoming a little more interested in cars, as he grows closer to driving age. His standing fascination is with the Willys CJ3-A. Recently, he's focused on older eastern European cars, like the Lada. He found this picture and asked me what it is. While I have no idea, I'm positive someone here will!

Went through the same process...it really looks like a 4-door Trabant, if there was such a thing.

That's the earlier version (1953-1962). The one in your original picture was the replacement and entered production in 1963. It was first shown at the 1962 Turin Auto Show.

This Fiat Padmini has the "vents" on the C-pillar Like the OP's
