A friend asked me to ID this car. The photo was taken at Goose Bay, Labrador (might explain the tires). With the Canadian, British, and American air bases there, it could have come from anywhere. I'm thinking Canadian version of some British sedan.
Humber? Hillman? Some other brand I've heard of but never actually seen (there are lots of those)?

Vauxhall PA Velox or Cresta. It looks a bit more plain so I'm guessing Velox. Nice winter tires on the back.

It looks like a 1958 or 1959 to be specific, the Cresta and Velox both had 3 piece rear windows. In 1960 they went to a one piece window.

At a ripe old 10 years of age I used to wash one of those for an elderly lady neighbor for pocket money, I did that for a few years.
