I am thinking stuck on moving gears. I am assuming you can't poke it in further to loosen it. Can you manually spin anything to get the gears to ungrab it? Jack a corner and spin a wheel?

That's a possibility, it didn't take much force to slide in, and pulled partway out easily then will not move in either direction now. It's actually not even hard to disconnect the driveshaft so I can spin it that way too.
Push it back in a little bit, then twist it as you pull it out.
