Green Machine Is a Big Wheel for Grownups
The folks at Parker Brothers Choppers have put together a bike that’s the baddest Big Wheel since The Shining.
It’s based on the Green Machine, the toy all the cool kids on our block got to ride when we were kindergartners with tricycles. It’s got a massive 45-inch front wheel and, just like the real thing, steers from the rear. Power comes from an 80-cubic inch Harley-Davidson Evo engine.
There's more at the link. Do the Wired guys a favor and send some clicks there way for more pictures and more details.
But WOW! How cool is that?!
Death on a stick. I'd ride it.
"Honey, where'd we put the first aid kit?"
Hey, I recall having a smaller Green Machine back in the 70s. That thing was great for learning how to do powerslides.

I don't want one.

I have a feeling I would be arrested in short order.
It's also the reason I don't go buy a Supermoto to commute with.

If I had one, I think I'd be obligated to seek out my arch nemesis in elementary school, Jonathan Duke, just to ride up to his house and write "SUCK IT" in black ribbon producing powerslides and burnouts in driveway.

Its cool and all, but I'm afraid this fits in the "Darwin Approves" catagory.

My big wheel was fwd. How did you guys do power slides on yours? Mine would oversteer, but not because of power.
the description should have started with "hay! watch this!...." like every other pending medical disaster,...... but i'd still ride it!
call the vet, we have sick puppies.
Hated, hated, hated those things back in the day. But these, however, were the e36 m3! I'd kill for a big boy version.
No. This doesn't count:

Do you remember the Green Machine? Those were so freakin' cool. Unfortunately, I was a little old/big for them when big wheels came out.
If you don't want a motorized version, you were not a child of the 70's.
I had the bigwheel.. I don't recall ever seeing a green machine

Never had a Big Wheel or a Green Machine.
We did have a couple of 6 wheelers when I was 3-5 that you powered by both hands.
My hats off to anyone who buys the motorized version above, for thy balls are bigger than mine.

Nope, don't want it. Here's my idea of a better green machine:
Big Bad Green AMX
Never had a Green Machine, but I broke my leg on my Big Wheel when I was 5.
