...and watch it right to the end
Dumbass. I feel bad for that Miata. The guy seems like he has enough knowledge & understanding of suspensions to know better.
I did not come away from that thinking he had enough knowledge and understanding.
But he's probably making money from YouTube and I am not, so he's definitely better at that than I am.
I didn't see any jam nuts on that solid bar. What's to prevent it from tightening or more likely and worse case loosening as they drive?
Generating maximum revenue through clicks with minimum cost of labor and materials. This isn't a handling mod, it's a business decision. I'm actually surprised that it's possible to tell the difference from the previous suspension. Or that it's even possible to be worse.
After two ads, and 10 seconds of the linked video, I made a personal decision. I simply do not have enough time for this. Does that prevent me from posting here further?
If you haven't clicked, my advice is to not click and move on. Your brain will thank you.
I think my favorite part was the look on his face after the first few bumps
"It was at this moment he knew................he berkeleyed up"
Not as hilarious as the time roadkill took a lowrider with hydraulics (i.e. no suspension compliance) off roading. The funny thing about something like this is it's not really about how bad the ride quality is, it's the fact that it will be so short-lived whether you like it or not. By stopping one thing from flexing you are just making other things flex. Metal fatigue will cause a catastrophic failure of some other suspension part in short order. But yeah, for the likes? Solid business decision.

Retarded. That word is perfectly fine when used correctly. We all still use that word in the car world. What's it mean? Honestly. Look it up. It means "backwards, reversed, the opposite of progress". So if someone is "acting backwards", they are "acting retarded". They are not "retarded" (as in, a noun), but they are in fact behaving in a way that is contrary to what is considered forward progress.
To call someone "a retard" is bad English and improper use of the word, as well as being offensive since ascribing it to someone that has Down's syndrome.

My patients are referred to as Intellectually Disabled or I.D. for short.
In reply to _ :
Thank you!
Every single patient of mine has some form of Intellectual Disability. I can, in a knee-jerk reaction, be offended by the use of the word "retard". But I also NEVER hear it used to insult the type of people under my care. It's ALWAYS directed toward the rest of the community that does stupid things and that should be expected to know better.
But aaaaaaanywaaaaayyyy... I'm perfect happy people are doing crazy things and making videos. I find I can always learn something from them. (Just don't ever watch the Whistlin' Diesel channel on YouTube!)
On the subject of MaxPeedingRods, Hoonigans tried using the set on their E36, known as Sh!tcar, to go offroading by just cranking the ride height up as high as it would go. It was suboptimal, at best.
