Sorry 'bout that--one of the (potentially) coolest features of the coming site update is that it automatically posts newly added site content to the forums. We went live with the feature this morning, and unfortunately, the debut has it posting EVERYTHING we've EVER posted on the site into the forums.
We're working on it, but FYI right now only Grassroots and Classic main forums are affected. In the meantime... anyone care to take a walk down memory lane? It's all there.

I am enjoying some of the old articles. Very fun.
It's making me sad... the one about my Corvair being almost back on the road just went up. Missing Per, too!
Margie
I was wondering about that.
Okay, those of you participating in the Community beta should now have access to it. To check out the new features, please log out, then log back in.
I ran up a new topic, then 10 minutes later found myself 3 pages down. Dang. If my content's that bad, just ban me!
Heck of a way to boost your post count
Well... this is timely. Disregard my last post :)
Good luck getting it all sorted.
Well this definitely shows who uses the "Latest Topics" function. I figure in a day or so the regular stuff will come back to the top.
Just a tip - if you put "site:grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/ XXXX" into Google (replace XXXX with whatever you are looking for) it will find the post(s) you are after.
Could some one find and sticky the thread about the beta testing of the site or start s new thread and sticky it. I can not find the original. I have a couple things I have found that I would like to pass on.
Thought it was a little weird but figured it was just some teething problems. No worries.
I think we've finally reached the bottom of the barrel.
I miss Per too. Does he still read the forum? Did it end badly? He was definitely one of the good guys, and hope he and you find some way to host guest columns. Or what do they call them? Editor at large? Is that just a Hunter Thompson reference?

He still posts here sometimes, IIRC he couldn't take living in Florida anymore He's writing articles for MotoIQ now.

Click Profile and then there's a button under the main menu bar that says "dashboard." Click that.

Hey, in Florida's defense, once Per's third child was on the way, we couldn't compete with Ohio, where Kim had a large extended family waiting to welcome and help.

Hell no. We burnt Per to a crisp--it's not easy to keep working in the permanent crisis mode that is a small independent publisher. Add to that the fact that Kim would be nuts to raise three kids a thousand miles from a big, awesome family--and yeah, okay, Florida vs. the "real world" is tough to hack sometimes. Not today, though: I love November here.

That is a cool post.
After working for a string of employers who don't have a clue how they are shredding employees, it is refreshing as heck to hear one who understands the dynamics of what they do, and is prepared to take responsibility.
Bravo.
I didn't realize what a good employer I had until I was forced to stop being self-employed.
I have no problem working hard. I can't stand being blamed for problems that are created by an owner who is unwilling to accept responsibility, allow me to do my job, or make changes.
Thanks Margie. Every time I hear you talk business, my respect for you grows. Even when you discuss something that might not be perceived as positive.
