I'm cross posting this from the off topic side. I know some of you don't visit there much.
If you've been following the turbine engine project, you know what I'm doing. If not, it's here.
Today I had a catastrophic turbine failure so I need some parts.

I haven't been able to identify the turbo. I have no idea what it came off of. It's an IHI turbo #RH05, SN 05001802, Spec. VC1. I've found some IHI dealers, but none of them list this turbocharger. I need a turbine wheel and bearings. Anyone know of a place to get them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated because if I have to change turbochargers, I have to rebuild the combustor.
I can tell you it is not from a Fiat 124 Turbo.. that used an RHB6 turbo
Check with Turbocity.com, they had parts for the IHI turbo on my 89 Probe GT.
did you google?
i came up with early 80's aftermarket bmw motorcycle turbo kit as an original source and that they are a bear to get parts for.
Yeah, I've been beating on Google to no avail. The only thing I've been able to come up with is parts for a RHB5. I can't tell if they would fit. I'll have to get on the phone Monday and see what I can come up with.
It looks like it might have been used on the 80s Mazda 626 turbo, but I haven't found any parts other than a rebuilt turbo for $600+.
Well, it's not a 626 turbo. I'm bumping this for the weekday crowd.

IHI RH05 is mentioned here: http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/bmwturbos.htm
looks like a motorcycle turbo...
and yes I've read all your invention/contraption/awesomenesses...
Kind of big for a motorcycle turbo, IMHO.
