After the odometer starts rolling over enough times, you stop paying attention...
My 88 k2500 with a 4pd 6.2 diesel had 338k on it when I sold it. It had tires on it that caused the speedo to read at least 10% low. So it was very likely closer to 400k actual miles.
My S6 should get there in the next 24 months or so. It's at 190K right now with no signs of stopping. Properly maintained, I shouldn't have any trouble driving this thing to the million mark. I love Audi I5s.

Gotta love an engine that is basically a 1000hp engine detuned to 100-200hp or so, coupled to a transmission that would also laugh at 800-1000hp. I envy your 01E.
The latest one I picked up (the one with only 189k on it) went up for sale because the five in it lost all oil pressure for indeterminate reasons. So it is getting a 10vt built to as much as can reasonably expected without going into race gas or hugely expensive head territory. It should be good, I've been building the engine for two or three years now. I'm shooting for 270hp but would still be thrilled with "only" 240. (Yes, I know an AAN with a mild chip would make more power, cheaper. Why quit when you're behind?)
My buddy's '92 325is has 334,000+ on it. Original motor, timing chain, transmission, etc. Pretty sweet!
My 84 Chevy truck (350/350) had 256 or something like that on it when I sold it. It was rusting into the ground, but was otherwise very healthy.
More Audi I5s:
My 86 4000S quattro has 400000km on it (250K miles) and the odometer still works, which is the impressive part. I bought it with 273k km on it.
My daily driver 91 200 quattro 20V Avant has about 265k miles on it. I've put half that mileage on it.
Great engines in great cars, though the 4000 is getting rusty.
1974 C20 - 458K (many, many with a race cars on a trailer) when I sold it. The guy who bought it drove it to work daily and towed to the track EVERY weekend for 3 more years.
My first vehicle was a 1980 K5 Blazer. It had 278,000 on the clock when I bought it in 1990. The odometer stopped turning at 284,000 and we sold it shortly after that.
One day in high school 10 of my friends piled in it and went to the local Hot'N'Now for drive through lunch. We set the all time order record at 40 burgers, 12 orders of fries and 10 soft drinks.
