Sooooooo the fall vintage race is fast approaching and naturally I'm looking for that edge that will get me from top 5 overall to top 3.
Load clunk as brain kicks in......hmmmm I don't need the right side seat (no students) hmmm take those belts out, oh and I can put in a lighter battery all that adds up to 40lbs, but but wait it's all on the right side of the car......oh no what will that do to the cross weights.......grab set up sheet work calulater furiously.........Ok ok if I move the battery that'll work but but I still have to finish rewiring the Formula 500........Ok ok I think I can juggle all that but but if I'm saving weight I've got a cool Yosh titanium muffler but but I really need to get over to the dyno to check where the torque curve really is and and and and and and
brain now smoking and spinning like a top fuel burn out
BAM brain pops like Nico Rossberg's rear tire and the 3 cells left say screw it just drive the damn car, you'll have a fresh set of tires, the brake chatter is fixed and you've now got the car properly aligned since the spring race so you'll be a couple of seconds faster, a top 3 is possible.
Repeat this cycle twice daily until you see Saturday morning time sheet.
