Not so sure of that. Isn't the compliant suspension necessary for offroading at odds with the flat cornering that you want in a sports car? With modern technology you could probably have both, but I don't think that the Ranger offers that, does it?

These pictures just make me feel like something's off. The bed is so short compared to the cab, making it seem out of proportion.
I know it's the on all of the crew cab short beds, but makes me feel like the Ram quad cab with the 6.5' bed seems more proportional and I wish the others offered the 6.5' bed with a cab that had interior room between the extended can and crew cab.

Yeah, none of this is making me want to move on from the F-250. Thanks for the feedback.
I don't think Honda is going after the F-250 market. There can't be too many people cross shopping. Super Duty trucks and Honda ridgelines
In reply to docwyte :
The Ranger Raptor looks sweet but its 80k cdn so thats hard to justify.

Miata's have a large amount of roll, and yet they're the "answer" here. Haha.

Justification is a amorphous thing. It's all about desire. Of course I'm sure it'll be awhile before you can buy a Ranger Raptor for msrp, I'm sure they'll get marked up
Well, I just pulled the trigger on this 2024 RTL in gray with a brown interior. I wanted to order a white with brown, but there are none in the factory pipeline so they couldn't say how long it may take. There wasalso a white one with a light gray interior. I chose the gray, similar to the Frontier I have gray. Wifey was concerned with the light interior of the white one, but she has a CRV with a white interior, "How's your seats holding up?" It's got a sunroof, drop the phone charger and more yahoos than I'll ever need, but thanks.
It was a rainy morning but I took a few photos. Quite happy.
This was the other option. White on light gray. Same options & price.

Quite happy.
^ That is all that really matters. Nice truck. I hope it serves you well.
Nice! I think the gray is a better choice where you live. White cars always look like crap in the winter.
The brown interior wins over the gray interior all day long.
Congrats! If I didn't need to tow heavy I'd be in the same one. I bought a new Honda few weeks ago (an Accord in my case) and I'm over the moon with it. Build quality, ride quality, ergonomics, etc. are as good as any car I've ever owned. Honda is really making some great vehicles right now.

Looks great, you'll love it over the nissan I'm sure.
You'll be shocked how often you use the bed trunk and even more at what will fit in there.
Going back today for a receiver hitch and tonneau cover.
In reply to 914Driver :
I thought they all had receivers stock or did that change for 2024?
In reply to nocones :
Now that you mention it I didn't get a receiver with my '24
Update:
I still like it!!
Only has 800 some miles on it, but did a 200 mile each way trip and got 25 mpg. I only got yelled at twice to slow down! My Frontier was OK at 70-75, but wick it up to 80+ and you really have t pay attention. On the trip, open road with no traffic, some pinhead decide to change lanes NOW so I zipped around him, got to 86 mph (the slow down warning) but my point is the car felt exactly the same as it did at 55 mph. Scary.
The Apple CarPlay is stupid easy to use, I like Podcasts when the radio isn't available in the mountains. SWMBO likes Click 'n Clack. I pulled a U-Haul trailer today to pick up the Caddy engine because the weight would have crashed in the trunk lid in the bed. It was noisy empty, but quieted down with some weight in there. I already have a 7 to 4 pin connector. The rear seat now has a doggie cover and Winter can get his 50 lb. butt up there by himself. He likes the additional room and actually looks out the window. In the Frontier he just laid down and moped.
Mrs. 914 is giddy with the room, terribly impressed with the huge arm rest and all the pockets to put her knitting chatchkas in while riding distance. Throw your phone into the hidey hole and there's an automatic charger. The only draw back so far is the net catch-all in the bed can't be used as the upper tie downs had to be removed to install the tonneau cover; which is so much easier than any Lear tonneau I had.
Dan
Doggie mat was ~$29 @ Amazon. There is a third side that hooks to the front seat but I chose to leave it down.
Dog mat. @ Amazon.
Congrats dude, that brown interior looks great.
To those that were trying to compare this to an F-150, what? Completely different truck and market.
I've had nothing but issues with my 3.5TT F-150s. They are comfortable, they do a lot well, except for being you know....reliable forms of transportation.
The Ridgeline is a great truck and I've honestly just thought about downsizing to one. It can do everything I need it to do besides tow the racecar trailer and other dudes on the team have 1/2 or 3/4 tons to do that.
In reply to 914Driver :
I've had 2 of the first generation and don't think that I've seen anything like 25 mpg without an 8 percent grade assisting. I was looking at my 2008 workhorse (160,000 trouble-free miles so far) and had the disturbing thought that it had some Aztec styling cues . Yours looks pretty durn sweet.
On a different note, the Ridgeline transmissions have always been good to me, even with a bunch of towing. Given how much flack Honda took for the crapstastic trannys in their Pilots and minivans, I wonder why they didn't just bite the bullet and make more of the Ridgeline version?
No opinion on that Kreb, only suggest reading the GRM Projects. They drive more than I do and are happy with their Ridgeline.
In reply to Kreb (Forum Supporter) :
I seem to be able to touch 25-26 mpg at 70mph now that I have about 3000 miles on my trailsport.
The chunky AT tires it comes with aren't helping for sure.
I did a relaxed hilly backroad drive at about 50 mph for about an hr on the weekend and dash showed 29 mpg so thats acceptable for a "truck".
Not sure how long before I disable the VCM for long term peace of mind at the expense of a couple mpg's
