My extensive work on the ZJ this winter has left my shop looking like it was hit by a tornado. I need to get on this same train.
Once I get the ZJ running right....

82 yamaha xv920 with single harley tm50 carb conversion, was in middle of tuning the carb when i burned up the starter and hung it up. It can find a new home for $300.
I shouldn't have watched this video.
Viragos do lend themselves to some neat custom builds, but I can buy a $300 non-runner locally- I was hoping it was something weird. Thanks for the info anyway!

Yeah I basically have it priced at what the carb and material to build the intake cost me, throwing out the window the purchase price of the bike itself.
Part of cleaning is getting rid of parts/donor vehicles that have been here way too long.
one stripped. Took about 3 hours to get everything I need.
also a wise man once told me “if you have 10 minutes, clean for 10 minutes” so finished the compressor/drill press area last night.
If you look in the garage door you can see I have not tackled the shelf-velle yet.
Took a half hour today, and got rid of the aluminum pile. 472 pounds.
I’m done cutting up cars, too big a pain to get rid of the big bits.

The great thing about tall jack stands is that you open up a whole lot more storage space!
Thing2 has a collection of axleshafts, two B2 Audi subframes, a set of B2 front struts/knuckles, one QSW rear subframe/suspension, a set of QSW rear shocks, two GSL-SE rearends, and a Mocal oil cooler under it. And an RX-4 bellhousing with a Jerico adaptor. (And a T56 to Chevy adaptor, because putting an adaptor on an adaptor is always a good idea)
Part of the reason why Thing2's transmission is riding a furniture dolly, is because I don't want to clear everything out from underneath it so I can put it in. That and I want to do one of those cool 60-2 trigger wheel crank seals, but I don't want to spend $400, and I think there is a way to do it with locally sourced parts but I just never get around do it.
Both Thing2 and the '81 RX-7 are completely covered with stuff. The '84 only has a few boxes on it.
I can't do the car shelf thing. I'd spazz out if someone sat anything on my car. I'm not trying to find a roofskin for my wagon because a box dented it.

The roof skin is in the box on the roof
the car turned into a shelf when the cam wiped the fuel pump pushrod lobe and I thought it was a great idea to peel the vinyl top to see what the couple bubbles looked like. Lots of bondo came out of gaping holes with the vinyl.
