The other thread got my attention. I put down a deposit earlier this evening. To my relief, I ended my Cyberugly reservation with a refund once the opportunity to purchase arrived at $30k over the 2019 suggested price. No ragrets there. I have a Maverick hybrid now, but the Traveler looks interesting, so I'll let them get the interest on $100 for a while.

My feeling exactly. We have the Lightning and a e-Golf but considering the long lead time I think the Scout will serve as a good possible replacement for my wife's 2021 (gas) Wrangler Unlimited. Or, it could make for a profitable flip after making content with it. Either way I think $100 is a minor risk for a potential upside.
Are you looking at the all-EV or with gas assist?
I'm in as well. It checks the boxes for needs and desires to handling the towing duties of the pebble flow and range, should be fun in a couple years.

With the range extender, but I might change my mind. In reality, I don't need the range extender. It all depends on the cost.

I was reading that 89% of the reservations so far have been the Harvester version like you ordered. I'm hoping that puts me fairly early in production since I'm going full EV (perhaps not TOO early haha).
I'm leaning in two directions on equipment: either a complete base with zero options, or a long-range with the cabana top. I like the bench seat option but in reality don't need it and would rather have a console.
Thinking I may put in a second reservation in a week or two for a Terra as it appears those will be released 6-8 mos after the Traveler. I just read you are allowed a maximum or two reservations and they can be any combination.
Nice. I put my reservation in too. I did the EV + gas extender mostly because I'm in the Plaines and 500 miles in a day is not too uncommon when I road trip. I figure for $100 it's nothing and really risk free. If I don't like it when it all gets finalized, then no big loss.
Yesterday they released renderings of client facing centers and some other info. With the pace at which they are releasing info plus the amount of time they have already been working on these, I'll be surprised if they don't have vehicle production by 2027 if not earlier.

That may also backfire in that they might decide to start production with the top of the line/most expensive models to speed up recoup on the investments made.
it's a BIG vehicle, at 207" long its longer than most 3 row cross-overs. I am considering putting a deposit on the Rivian R3 but really like wireless carplay which makes my user experience consistent across any car that I may drive.

That certainly happened with the lightning. They kept offering me a Laredo package when I wanted a pro.

Not much longer than my 2002 Mercury Sable....

As I see it, that's the market distinction here. Scout looks to be on the small side of full-size SUV/Trucks, while Rivian R1 seems more on the large side of mid-size SUV/Trucks.
