First I successfully changed all 8 spark plugs in a Ford 4.6 3 valve engine with out one single broken plug.

Feeling like I must be on a hot streak, I decided that it was a good time to take on an even tougher job that's been eluding me for years, getting my long neglected dirt bike to start.

My poor old KTM 350 has been sitting forlorn and neglected for more years than I care to admit. It was a fantastic machine in its prime, and I have many happy memories of riding and racing it all over the mid-Atlantic region in my early twenties, but that was a long time ago, and dirt biking just isn't part of my life anymore , and won't be for the foreseeable future. So I've been chipping away at getting it ready to put up for sale sporadically for several years.

I'll cut right to the point now, today was the first time in over ten years that it ran. I only ran it for about ten minuets, and I didn't actually ride it because the brakes aren't working, but I was thrilled to hear it running again, and I now have a long forgotten yet quite familiar pain in the arch of my left foot from kick starting the high compression beast, and I can't for the life of me figure out how this thing ever passed a sound test! A 13b has nothing on the racket this thing makes!

No I just need to hurry up and get it ready enough to ride so I can get it on the market by spring, or at least before the fresh premix goes bad

You wont sell it now that you have heard it run.

You'll need to log in to post.
