My YouTube Channel (youtube.com/playswithcars) is up to 300 subscribers and my 200th video is a really cool one. My best video so far was a review of my 92 Bronco (6100 views as of this post) and I actually got a lot of feedback on doing more of them. I decided to do a comprehensive review of the 1987-88 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe including all the wacky things about them, the best first mods, and it's potential for performance. It took two days to film all the different parts and ten days of editing (with my free editing software on my homebuilt 10 year old PC) to make, so this is by far the most intense production I have ever done. I super appreciate all of your views, likes, comments, and subscriptions over the past 11 months and so this is for you, I hope you like it:

What did you like about the video? Not like?

What type of content would rather see?

You use the word "debuted" far too many times to mispronounce it.

It's derived from French and the "t" is silent.

Content is fine.

I'm from South of the Mason-Dixon line. You should here me butcher the words Nevada and potato.

But you so nailed "gravitas." laugh

Where south?  I didn't think I heard much of an accent.

I'm gonna go look at CL for a Turbo Coupe.  Not gonna buy it, but I'm gonna look.  I'd never likely own a Mustang, but the T-bird would be cool.

Edit:  There are three within a few hundred miles, two with the five-speed, one automatic.  The closest one has fresh paint and is offered at $4k.

Cocoa, Florida plus summers in the mountains in northern California at my Mom's ranch so there's some hillbilly, southern drawl, and beach bum all mixed in. I've been a Washington transplant since 2004 though, so my dialect (hard-t) is all messed up even more.

You should totally buy a TC though. They are really good...

Lawdy that's a pretty one! I spy a factory power moonroof, that should be an 85.5/86 so the same interior as the 87-88 and the big T3 and injectors, etc. It's a really good one to get. 7.5" with a 3.47 trac-loc, 10" front discs, drum rear, non-WC T5. I'd pay $4K for that without even thinking about it!

Claims to be an '85.  He's not saying how many miles.  I'm sure it's a bunch.

I really want one of these, but for Challenge money. They do pop up from time to time at that price. But alas, there's no way in heck I'll be able to buy one until I deal with some of my other crapmobiles. laugh

I liked it, and I like these cars quite a bit.

If I am offering constructive criticism it would be around pacing.  I felt at times that you were spending too much time talking without enough to look at.  For example, you spent a lot of time talking about the genesis of the 2.3 Turbo while showing a shot of the engine bay.

Having said that it’s much better than much of what’s out there   Thanks for sharing

Thank you! I really appreciate that actually. Constructive criticism helps me make better videos. Would panning shots help more or just less information or both? Any other ideas?

I want to do one of these on the 986 Boxster next.

Panning, or cut shots maybe?   I am sure it’s not easy without more than one person filming.

Loved the video! Especially how you went into detail on the more technical aspects that DemUro doesn’t touch on.

Thank you! I should dive deeper on the tech stuff in the next one and put the car up in the air on jackstands.

I watched the video, thought it was generally good. You're well spoken and obviously super knowledgeable on the t bird.

Easy improvements I would suggest is a clip on mic for the driving portion (take some of the ambient noise out.

I wonder if the length of the video will be harmful when it comes to the YouTube views. Not everyone wants to nerd out like the grm crowd. Something you'll just have to feel out with time I guess.

You'll need to log in to post.
