I'm Visiting Less Frequently

From here on all forum feedback must be submitted in haiku form or it will be moved to the bottom of the list. 

Count me in on the I'm not overly thrilled with it crowd, but it's not enough to make me not come here.  I thought the old version was much easier to use, and easier to see the topics.  There's simply too much white space and the titles are too big.  Everything tends to run together too.  It is better on my phone, but I don't visit much using the phone so on the computer its a bit of a pain.  This is nit picking to be sure.  Every time it loads I keep wondering where the rest of the page is.  It's like a web page that partially loads, if that makes any sense.

New update to the layout has been applied. Hopefully you like it. We tightened things up and made headlines smaller among other things.

I like that better. Now I realize what my issue was: My eyes didn't like scrolling all the way across the computer screen to read each thread title.

That may have been part of the reason but that thread was around for a very long time. It eventually got locked due to a certain individual continually posting inappropriate images after being warned several times to knock it off or the thread would be locked.

In the end I don't think it added anything to the main reasons I visit this forum. Not to say that I didn't occasionally browse the newest additions to that thread, but I don't think it needs to be brought back.

Anyway, I'm not seeing much of a difference in the newest update with the exception of the last post being in red. But I'm also not viewing it on a standard monitor either and my settings are probably way off from what most people use. Either way still no real complaints.

Strongly disagree.

The internet is full of places for that sort of content. I like a scantily clad woman as much as anyone but I don't need them plastered across every forum I visit.  I expect it's a bit off-putting for ladies who might drop in to talk cars or whatever and find a soft porn wonderland full of leg humpers.

Me too.  While new format is a bit better on laptop/desk top, subjects are a bit cumbersome  as far as subject lines on my android phone.  But then I'm a computer/smart phone illiterate.

My fear of changes

I'm not a fan of the new look, not sure why but I find myself checking the site less and it appears other feel the same way because I see fewer changes of the threads I subscribe to

Not that I'm significant, but with the new layout I went from 'GRM tab open always, browse the forum several times a day' to 'today is the first time I've visited the boards since the changes' 

Well, if ya ain't browsin' GRM all the time then you're gettin' more stuff done that you oughta be gettin' done.

So, there's that.

Two days. It took two days to acclemate myself to the new look.  Two days, and I'm a ludite. 

Yeah, I’m already used to it and while I am biased, I definitely like it better than the old layout. 

I don’t mean to diminish the value of your feedback, but we have seen a noticeable bump in site traffic since the redesign. It’s too early to establish anything more than a correlation, but that is at least promising. Hooray future!

Keep the bells and whistles but go back to the old layout.

Maybe there's been a bump in site traffic because people are checking back hoping to find the site visuals have been fixed. Hey, "Who moved my cheese?"

Much better now that titles are smaller.
