What's happening and when at the Rolex 24 At Daytona this year? Can’t figure out who to root for? Let us help with that.
Essentially, the festivities are spread across two weekends, with four IMSA-sanctioned series, all at one speedway. (See our handy-dandy schedule below.)
The Roar Before the Rolex 24 features ample practice for the WeatherTech Championship and …

I've attended every Roar and Rolex since moving to Daytona in 2018. This year will be my 7th year attending and just like every years prior, I'm very excited to see what IMSA and all the teams have in store for us.
My first Rolex was 1995 as I moved down here in ’94. First year for the Ferrari 333 SP and PTG E36-chassis M3 at Daytona.
And see you at the Roar later this week?

Hey, here's something you should add to your schedule if you're going to be at the Rolex this year! I've got Friday night set aside to crank out a whole ton of homemade meatballs and I'd like to know how many of them I need to bring with me and how many I should leave in my freezer!
In reply to wae :
Thanks for the reminder. Did you get my PM about that?

Weird. Let me ping you again.
And working on my own personal schedule for the Roar and Rolex right now.
We also have some interesting stories in the works. Stay tuned.

Got your ping and pinged you back! Maybe some day this technology stuff will amount to something!
If I am mostly there for the grid walk, do you recommend the roar or the main event?
The main event! It's 24 hours of racing (plus other events on Friday including the 4 hour MPC race), as opposed to practices. What is more exciting?
In reply to ojannen :
The grid walk for the Rolex is pretty packed. Not nearly as busy during the Roar but still more than a few people there. Don’t forget the Michelin Challenge grid walks, too.
How can those not in attendance watch?

The Rolex 24 will be covered by NBC, USA and Peacock. Peacock actually has the whole deal.
In reply to J.A. Ackley :
Thanks! Now to check my streaming services.
JG and I were just syncing our clocks. Saturday night, the WeatherTech cars are on track for two hours. Always a good chance to just sit and watch the cars run.
Today on the GRM crew’s Daytona schedule: picking up passes, finalizing plans. Paris is currently at a media meet-up with some drivers.
My first 24 was in 1978 when a Ferrari Daytona came in 2nd overall. The car's owner Otto Zipper passed away 12 hours into the race and they put a black stripe on the car.
In reply to Andrew Polasek :
As I recall, a lot of important cars passed through his hands.
And I’m legit: got my Daytona passes.
This race is a bucket list for me. I really want to go some year. Unfortunately this year I will end up missing most of it because they decided it would be a good time to do a restack at one of my offices so I will be tearing down and setting up 25 computers as they move desks around.

Schedule it as vacation time in advance, then they can't do that to you.

The Roar (IMSA VP Racing Challenge Series) races will stream live on Peacock, 2pm Saturday and 1:20 pm Sunday.
The entire Rolex 24 will stream on Peacock, IMSA.TV, and YouTube. NBC will air the first hour, and the final 2 hours. USA Network has it from 2:30 until 6:30 Saturday the 25th.
It's kind of:
