I suppose its best to wait until everything is in place like he wants rather than mess up the launch.

Yeah but at least it's not like 6 years ago when there was no hope whatsoever. We already have Fiat back and Sergio is gonna HAVE TO bring Alfa back here to make an economic case for the brand, or there'll be no Alfa anywhere!
I don't know where the rumors of an "eminent return" originate...be it the company or the European press, but it's WAAAAAAAY past the point where "they" should just shut up and when the time comes, just spring it on us.
I think it was an editorial in C&D or CAR where a writer revealled that if it takes Fiat 100 more years to get the Alfa brand in shape to launch in the U.S., well, that's just how long Senor M. is willing to take. Sort of a further take on that old wine slogan:
"No car before it's time".
I guess I am out of the loop on this one....so Alfa is coming back? Is Fiat coming back with a real car or does the goofiest looking 500 all there is?

From what I have heard Fiat is planning on cutting down to only two cars worldwide. The 500 and the Panda (IIRC). Alfa had been said to coming back to the US in 2014.
