Only the one, but I could say the same about that Fiat
Coincidentally, another way to break the data down would be 2003-older, and 2004-newer, seeing as there was a major change in the budget rules for 04.

Slammed, boosted and/or sprayed, sticky tires, gutted to hell and back. Admit it, you can see the appeal here.
Well, of course, those WITHOUT balls would choose "or."
The motor is plenty strong enough to make a couple boost AND nitrous runs for the sake of the greater good.
THE GREATER GOOD.

Stop that!
You should asterisks the categories that have had challenge winners. High volume does not really mean anything in term of a cars potential to win. However if a car type has low volume of entries but has won that is useful info.
EDIT: The number of asterisks could represent the number of wins if there are multiple in a particular car make.

Not a bad idea. And easy to do. For the data I have, its now done.
Wheels777 just sent me spreadsheets with results info for years that were missing. I'll update the spreadsheet and try to update the results in the first post tonight.
Updated with the data from Wheels. Thanks!
Some of the older data was less detailed than what was in the spotter's guides, ditto for the 08/09 results. In some cases, I guessed the generation, in others, I added another row for unknown.
I wouldn't mind doing a detailed database as time permits, if I can get some more detailed info on the years I just have result sheets. However, this is GRM's data, and I'd really like their permission before I put it into a searchable database.
Oh yeah, and if y'all don't mind another long post, I can post it alphabetically, too.

I think you exposed me to your sickness
I like the Camary idea, but don't know why.
This coming from a guy who keeps looking at mini vans as potential Challenge entrants.
You know if you lower that Caravan, strip it, add nitrous, and sticky tires.......
Thanks for the list.

Another thought is to add a ^ and/or a # and a @ for catagory wins- autocross, drag, etc. Just a thought.
Great list, though. Reading through it, I wonder about a few other killer street prepared cars that have yet to try this event- mainly an X1/9. But if one can make a real smack down autocrosser, I think you can win with 13 sec 1/4 time.

If you want to become totally diseased, the larger older 4-runner V6 bolts right in this sucker, and i imagine someone like a lot of people on this forum would also run with that idea and add a Truck transmission and make this thing RWD. All the parts available at your local u-pull-it for probably not that much money. I know i can get the motor for about $150.
Personally? I'd be happy with a FWD huge turblow 3vzfe sitting in this thing. The 3vzfe is an overbuilt monster.
I've been trying to resist building a Camry for years. I doubt i'll be able to resist much longer.
North of the Mason Dixon line camrys seem to just dissolve before you eyes due to rust. You are hard pressed to find an older one. I have driven several over the years. A very nicely appointed appliance was the feeling I got. I also kind of had that "i need to make a shower" feeling as well. It was kind of creepy.

Oh yes... they ARE appliances, don't get me wrong. But they're pretty hilarious and handle surprisingly well with a nice suspension, and the V6 models aren't that underpowered.
It's more for the hilarity, though. I'd never try to make one nice, or make it a real project car. Just a hootin' hollerin' tire shredder.
sweet list! unless i missed something, it looks like we get to be the first fiat spider 124 to enter. whether that is by design or luck is yet to be seen.
AFAIK, the list is now accurate, as far as total entries are concerned. Obviously, some cars are counted multiple times. However, I do wonder sometimes. I thought I'd seen an X1/9 there before, but it could've been a spectators car. I also could swear I saw a 86-89 Integra at the 06 or 07 event, but its not in the list, so I must have been hallucinating.
As for Camrys in the rust belt - my next door neighbor just bought one that looks like the one in the picture, with the V6, for $1000. Only a little rust through starting on the rear wheel wells. There's still a few of them up here.
