We used to get these all the time to flip at auction at the collision repair shop I worked at years ago. These aren't bad looking cars and are pretty nice. I saw one today and it reminded me that these are on the same platform as the 350Z. I actually like the Sedan over the Coupe.
What are the good and bad of these? I know early ones ('03-'04) were available with a 6-speed manual. I imagine they're unicorns though.

You'd be surprised how many are out there with the 6MT.
I can't really say the good/bad about them (other than the drivetrain being "good"), but I've known a ton of people with the G35 (coupe or sedan, or both) and haven't heard much about any major issues even with a lot of miles. Many of these people are guys from the old Maxima.org boards who "upgraded" into a more adult car (and RWD) once their Maximas got too old...And most of them still have their G's, or have upgraded to G37s by now.
Also, aftermarket is pretty decent since a lot of coupe/350z/VQ35 from other Nissans parts work with the G sedan.
btw, I think the 6MT was offered on all years, not just 02-03
On DC craigslist right now, a couple manuals

Is it safe to say that the VQ engines are bulletproof? I mean Nissan put them in damn near everything.
In reply to SyntheticBlinkerFluid:
The VQ engines are very tough. I had a '06 sedan, 6mt. For a fairly large car, it was really fun to drive and could dance pretty well. It's weird, people say the 350Z feels big and heavy...but maybe it's just a perception. I really liked my G. Couldn't afford to keep it unfortunately. I'm currently on the lookout for a nice G35 or G37 coupe. The depreciation curve on the G37s seems to be pretty steep, which is good if you're buying.
Sedans are typically cheaper than the coupes.
Pretty much all the 350Z aftermarket powertrain and suspension pieces will bolt on a sedan, other than exhaust systems.
i loved mine as well. biggest issue is front tire wear, but easy to fix with stiffer bushings. some had oil burning issues. not much other than that.
Don't they need a timing chain service at around 200k? I looked for one for a while, but they were all $7k with 200k miles and that didn't seem worth it.
