In my search for new wheels for my Subaru, I stumbled across these on craigslist:
from the ad they are BBS RZ 16x7, 5-100 with an offset of 45. Anyone have any more info on these wheels, ie can verify the model and maybe the center bore. I think they'd look good wrapped in some nice 205/50 tires; maybe painted gold or something.

I'm going to hazard a guess they are aftermarket wheels originally meant for a VW Mk III VR6 or B3/4. A little too much offset for a Mk IV.
ya, i would say these were stockers on a Mk3 Jetta VR6...

No. OE MkIII VR6 wheels were 15" (I've been doing a ton of searching recently on OE VW wheels looking for a lightweight 15x6 option). It wasn't until the Mk IV that 16's and 17's became factory and dealer installed options. (also: a friend of mine had a bone-stock Mk III VR6 with the basket-weave wheels and I remember them being 15").
FWIW, the OE VW center bore is 57.1 mm
BBS are German wheels. A Subaru is a Japanese car. I would add an Italian MOMO wheel to keep the whole "axil of evil" theme.
In reply to Ian F:
you are correct on both, didnt see they were 16's, and the center bore is 57.1...

Actually, a Pirelli tire would keep it an "axle of evil" theme -- or arguably a Michelin, if you want to recall the Vichy government of France :)

OK so if they are 57.1 center bore, that should be fine for the Sooby, with its 56.1 center bore. Any 1mm hubcentric rings out there?

Now what about a German car, with Japanese designed but Korean built motor, with Italian steering wheel? Any Afghani or Iraqi car companies out there? I need parts!

They look like bimmer wheels to me.
BBS makes rims very similar to those that will fit my Dakota... that is if I can cough up $3,000

If you get an early WRX, they come with a MOMO wheel!
