After installing the JDM K24A into the TSX & the JDM injectors clogged shut with crusty gas, had to swap in the original K24A2 injectors.
We pulled out all of the injectors & tested with a 9v battery. The JDM injectors wouldn't even click they were so clogged.
I wanted to use the lower mileage JDM injectors. We cleaned up & lubed the orings & are working fine.
228,000 miles is a lot of actuating - what is the lifespan of a modern injector?
Ohm out the injectors, find out what the resistance should be and how low it can be before you have to toss them.

But there is a lot more than just the resistance to an injector though. Was going to try to cleanup & unclog & rebuild the JDM's but I don't have my diy injector flow station with me. But with the cost (cheap) of new injectors is it worth it? But then there is the issue of counterfeit Chinese injectors, which happened to me with some RDX injectors. Got me thinking that I haven't heard of injectors being a wear item, but they do wear & change response & flow.
I thought it was pretty cheap to send them off to have them "blueprinted."
I've been considering doing that with the injectors in my 99 Miata. The car only has about 110k miles, but they're still almost 23 years since production (car was built in 98).
Modern injectors don't beat up the pintles and seats like older stuff. They're probably just fine.
I think I have replaced one OEM injector in the last fifteen years. Two in the last 25.

Just send them in to an injector service shop. They will clean them and reject any that fail to perform as new. It isn't unusual to have to replace one or two that are out of spec.
Replace them with what? Brand new OEM injectors? Ok. Anything else will probably be poorly made Chinese copies, or cleaned versions of what you already have. If it runs good, leave it.
I had a similar problem with an e30 I bought. The car hadn't moved in 10+ years and the injectors were all stuck. A soak in seafoam for a day or two and they were good as new.

Yes would be oem. In the past I have sent 8 Ford 2.3turbo injectors to a shop & they cleaned, rebuilt, flow tested, #'d & sent back printouts of the best 4 matching.
I notice the car did have a very, slight pulsing when accelerating hard but the gas is over a month old. Trying to use it up. The gas smells good though. I put a quart of atf in the tank & now it seems to be very, very, very slight. Will see once I get new gas in there. That just got me thinking about these high mileage injectors.
Marren's injector service starts at $25/each. I'm about to send a set there for some R&R.

In reply to David S. Wallens :
That sounds like the place that I sent the 8 years ago. Wonder what they would think if I sent the 4 stuck ones. They even smell nasty.
In reply to mdshaw :
We've been using Marren for years. If in doubt about your injectors, give them a call.
RC cleans and flow tests injectors. Also sells new injectors. Quick turnaround. Good service.
