I messed around and spent about 20 minutes installing one of my best parts of this car. The dash clock!

Hope you enjoy!

Nice Civic. The radio needs some love...

Where does a person acquire a rear view mirror like that?

I appreciate it, Taiden and fast_eddie and jimbob.

jimbob, the radio is fixing to be taken care of. I will be acquiring new speakers for the pods in the back and have already gotten the Sirius unit to have put in (and hidden). I have the knob that holds the radio to the dash. Nothing is wrong with the radio.

Bryan, you can buy them all day long at Pep Boys. First one I bought was at Pep Boys back in 1988 for $20. The price hasn't changed at all.

A 5 panel wink? Pretty much everywhere. They are really cheap too!

Is a wink distracting for daily driving?

It can be. Only problem is I really can't see directly behind me because my head is in the way. I mean, I can see a car behind me, but I wouldn't be able to see the driver in that car like I could with a regular rear view. A lot of that has to do with the fact that this car is very small and I am quite tall. other than that, between the fender mirrors and this mirror, I have no blind spots.

And, ditchdigger, I wonder where Amazon is shopping prices to say that you can save $10 by buying from them. It's the same price at Amazon as it is at the local auto parts stores. Not to mention, you don't pay for shipping at the stores, lolol.

The ones at the local stores here are......if you can believe this "Flimsy knockoffs of a wink" and sell for $23.

A Wink is certainly not a paragon of quality but these noname ones come car sick inducingly pre-warped and give panoramic mirrors a bad name.

Winks are pretty awesome if you can get far enough away from them. In my fiat the mirror was only 8 inches from my head so I got a great view of my scalp and the inside b and c pillars but not so much else. In a larger car they give an unparalleled view behind and beside you.

I had forgotten about the ash trays on the back of the seats in that generation of Civic. Great view :)

Where can I find that clock? I've been meaning to put an analog clock in the e30, a really nice one, but can't seem to find any that I like.

Nice dash on the Civic.

Taiden, I just wanted to be sure that you were aware of the analog clock that was offered on early e30's. Sample:

In reply to ZOO:

Thank you, man. The ash tray placement was kind of wild in this car. It has me in a kind of pickle as I like that oddity, but my car originally came with no cigarette lighter. Didn't really think much about it until AFTER I found the ash tray and put it in.

In reply to ditchdigger:

I never knew anyone else made the 5 panel mirror. I always thought it was only WINK!. And that's my problem. With me being so tall in that little car, my head is inches from the thing and can't see too well around it, lolol.
