I am in a bind. I have a camper at Grand Isle, La and hurricane Ida is bearing down hard right now. I have already installed the rails and hitch but was going to have the brake controller installed tomorrow. The problem is I can't wait until tomorrow. They are calling for evacuations now and I need to go get my camper.

I am not a mechanic but I can do most things if told how in simple terms. I was hoping someone out there could walk me through the installation of the controller in my 2003 f-250. It already has the hook up on the rear, factory installed. I'm hoping there is a simple way to do this without having to tear into the wiring. I see 4 wires coming out of the harness as it goes into the engine compartment that are the same color wires as is on the controller. Could I be lucky enough for that to be for the controller pre wired from the factory? Can someone please help?

Good luck, storms can be a real bitch. I would go get it even if the good stuff was not hooked up yet. I've been through too many hurricanes. Do not hesitate, GO!!!

Thank you very much for the link. I don't have the adapter but at least I know what wires to splice to. That did the trick. Again, thanks. By the way, I hate hurricanes! I'll be leaving shortly headed that way.

It should be wired from the factory BUT...likely will not have the two relays under the hood. www.fordtrucks.com will help ya.
