250 horsepower at 5300 rpm and 260 lb.-ft. of torque at 2000 rpm. Available with a 6-speed manual. My interest is piqued.

Very nice car. Drove a Regal GS yesterday. It felt like all 270 HP were present plus some. Always in the powerband...
I am very much, we are looking at a new house after that is all done I want to take advantage of my GM discount next year ;)
I think it's pretty rad that they will have both Regal and Verano turbo cars and both available with a stick. I always had a soft spot for Buick since I grew up with a string of them, so it's nice to see them going this way.
I'm looking forward to this engine in the Cadillac ATS, particularly if they make a version like a wagon or hatch with a little more practicality than a sedan.
While the Verano isn't something I'm in the market for, the turbo engine is a very nice upgrade over the base 2.4 engine. The fact they used the 270hp version over the 220 is a (pleasant surprise). A Cruze SS would be the next logical step here. Step 2 would be the Code 130R concept....
yea, it'd be on my future car list... but as in used, I'm not buying anything new at the time being
something about a 6-speed turbo Buick makes me grin
Saw one at a community event Saturday. It looks like a buick. ehh... the 325xi parked next to it from the same dealer was far more appealing.

The Regal is the Vaxhaul/Opel Insignia....so its the same size as the Ford Fusion.
As stated above, the Verano is the rebodied Cruze. I like how they look aside from the back.....the back looks like it has thick chrome eyebrows squinting over the tail lights.....

I just went on Buick's website and there doesn't appear to be a manual available. The engine was 180hp also. Is there a sport model coming out later or did I just miss it?

It's coming out later this year as a 2013 model.
Not pretty at all but glad to see a manual version being offered

Nice interior. Give it a turbo, six speed, and some decent suspension tuning, and you've really got my attention. (Probably not my money for a while, though - never occurred to me that I'd even consider saving up for a new Buick, so I've got a ways to go...)
This turbo Ecotec has been kicking around for a while now guys, and IMO it's been awesome all along. For those who say:
Bryce
You're right. People don't realize just how awesome the Eco is. Even the non-turbo versions are great motors.
