I'm considering buying a rebuilt cyl head from theses guys, thier listed price for the head that I need is almost half of what I get it for locally (even at wholesale price).

The company in question is Clearwater cylinder head inc. Also on ebay as headsbycch (feed back rating looks good). Has anyone here done business with them?

I found them throug a google search. The web site is cylinder-heads(dot)com.

The head that I'm looking to replace is probably cracked or warped, its been through 3 HGs in 2 years, I think I'd be wasting my time, and my friends money having the current head inspected.

No clue, but the no namers are getting pretty good these days. Its a head though, so tread lightly.

Is it that "rare", that you can't find it locally?

No, he found it locally, but it's twice the price. (Even at wholesale.)

I had some dealings with them, but at least 20 years ago. If they're still around, that says something.

As long as no one is telling me to run away screaming. If i'm impressed, I'll suggest that they advertise here.

About a year ago I put on a cylinder head from them, lets just say FIVE heli-coils latter the car ran. Best of luck.
