The '95 Miata.. I have to agree with the cupholder comments. I need to add power door locks and remotes (locks are getting rather tired). And buzzes and rattles in the dash are an irritant.

The Mustang.. 20mpg.. on premium.. I realized that in 10 years of ownership I have put 22k miles on it. But I love it too much to sell it. I cant make a LSD survive more then a year or two of autocross. (58k and its ready for LSD #3 with #2 having been an Auburn Road Racers Diff) The radio has the bass line unhooked or a signal blocker or something (I really need to look into and fix that, after 10 years of ownership...)

My moms 04 Impreza.. borrowing so my GF can learn to drive.. I just hate that its an autotragic. but thats exactly why I am borrowing it.

I hate that about my MSM. I also hate that the MSM has a dead battery. I hate that the dead battery was facilitated by the insanely long cold start cranking periods necessary to start the car. I hate that i have to have that car tuned again. (I don't have to tune my MX6 for it to be faster than the MSM, so what's up?)

But most of all i hate that i put up with all that E36 M3 because it's kindof awesome to drive hard.

The MX6? I hate the stereo or lack thereof. I hate the spool-robbing manifold leak i have. I hate the smells it constantly makes. I hate that it's currently wearing mismatched wheels and tires. (yayyyyy blowouts on a friday!)

The Jeep? I hate nothing about that.

The Escort? I hate pretty much everything about that car right now.

The Celica? I hate that i haven't driven it in almost 3 years and that it's going to cost me at least $20k to do to it what i want to, and am going to. Unfortunately for me, i love it the most out of all my cars.

The Ranger, it's just sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring, but it really is a Swiss Army Knife...

The Wife's Wrangler, you don't buy a Jeep for its gas mileage, but then you take the top off and go wheeling...

The XR4Ti, so much potential, so little $

The Fiat, I love it, in fact the only fault it has is that it's taking up a garage space I could be using to work on another project since it's more or less sorted, wait that doesn't make any sense...

Same here, but I changed the car. I sleep in mine, transport two kids anywhere, loaded it to the gills with firewood and camping stuff for Lemons, it's comfy and reliable and cheap and easy to fix, but sooooo boring.

My 08 Si: The fact that nothing about it feels like a compact car should, the over sensitive ABS, the typical cheap new car rattles, zero torque, that in 3 months I still haven't sold it.

My 88 Starion: It needs some bodywork, otherwise it's 99% awesome to me.

2010 Sentra.... CVT just feels weird. I keep thinking clutches are slipping.

1980 AMC Spirit... no head rests resulting in neck injuries when you get rear ended.

2010 GMC 1500 4x4 work truck ..... the floor covering in the drivers side is worn through already.

The check engine light in my '06 F150 is on. It's window switch finally gave out, but I fixed it (they give you a spare part inside, how nice) and broke the window lock at the same time so now they're locked all the time.

The '91 Miata started making a wierd whine/howl with changes in rpm, so I ordered some overdue maintenance parts (t-belt/water pump...) from Flyin Miata yesterday; thanks Keith! Did I mention the record high temperatures expected this week and the earliest I'll have the parts is by the weekend. (Plus the 30 mile drive to work in the F150)

I despise the transmission programming on my 07 Silverado. If you're slowing down, it assumes that you're coming to a complete stop. If you need to accelerate again before you stop, the acceleration catches it completely off guard and it has to think and consider the options and finally synchronize all of the electrical bits with the mechanical bits to resume forward motion. It's maddening.

MPV has some leaky seals, I think the crank seal or oil pan seal. Oil level is fine but its marking its territory on the reg. Also valvecover gaskets leaking again. Also some sort of intermittent transmission issue where it loses 4th gear, can go weeks without doing it but then randomly will act up. Trans fluid looks and smells new, I think a sensor or solenoid is acting up or has a bad/dirty connection. Also I need to replace the distributor. State inspection 3 months dead, because I know the day I take it is the day its going to misbehave and throw the CEL light for the trans and cam sensor (inside the dizzy).

Accent. Needs moar power, seats not very comfortable, but other than that its good. Oh yea, its time to change all the fluids and belts.

Are either of yours the 5 speed manual versions? Thre is a huge difference between the automatic ones and the 5 speed ones. After autocrssing my PT I can say it's not boring. and SO versatile. Miss that car, one of the best at being a car I've ever had.

What do I hate about my current cars? The cupholders in the BMW and the fact that right now it doens't run.

The Mustang, I hate the ugly wheels and the fact that first gear is unuseable in traffic as it's hard to get away slowly and cleanly when behind the average dolt off a stop light. Oh, and the cupholders in it suck, too.

The MINI is slightly industrial sounding, but other than that, there isn't anything to complain about, so long as it's taken in context of what it is.

And the A/C doesn't work.

My Ranger is a 3.0L 5spd Sport regular cab, regular bed, 4.10. Believe me, it's still boring as all hell, even if I had the 4.0L this truck would not be exciting. Like I said, only when I've got an engine from the junkyard, a car on a tow-dolly, sheets of plywood, a fridge, flat screen tv, couch, etc. in the back is it exciting...

I hate the faulty electronics and decomposing interior bits in my E36. It's like being in a mid-80's Buick - headliner falling down, drivers door card coming apart, climate control is schitzo, dash cluster intermittently fails. It's still fantastic to drive, but I wish that it hadn't been so ravaged by time - and it's a '99 for crying out loud.

On the Mazda5, the lack of adjustable intermittent wipers. I know it sounds stupid, and it has 3 settings, but none of them match Pacific Northwest rain. Also, the rear wiper is as useless as a vestigial tail on a rhesus monkey...

On the 944, the broken stuff. Not so much that it's broken as the fact that I own the replacement parts and have no time to work on the damn thing.

On her Grand Prix, the automatic (and the cruise control stalk, eff you GM!). If that car had a stick it would have been one of the best sports sedans of it's time.

On the Javelin... oh boy. The grill, the vinyl top, the woodgrain interior trim, the rust, the fact that I haven't even driven it yet, but most of all that it's taking me fooorrrreever to work on it.

Interior parts that break.

Leather seats - I'd rather have cloth.

And cup holders that are really cup ejectors, usually when making a turn. Someone at BMW must have been thinking, "Anyone who dares to have an open cup while driving our cars shall be punished for it!"

BMW e39: Just nit picks - the cup holders are junk (as in most German cars...if they even have cup holders). The driver/ passenger climate controls need separate fan speeds for each side. Auto fan speed is a little slow for a sunny day. "Learning" transmission is a bit of a slow learner. That's it. Otherwise an excellent family car for a sports car guy. 180K and counting reliable miles. Great performance and handling. Very comfortable trip car. Honda Accord gas mileage. The most "nearly perfect" car I have ever owned (and I've owned more than 50 various cars).

I think that I read somewhere that it is not legal for the driver to drink anything while driving in Germany, that may explain the cup holder thing.
