Anybody or your kids read the How to train your Dragon series? Also movies and maybe even a TV series. They live on the Isle of Berk. Couldn't help but laugh as my 7 year old started reading to me.

One of the reporters on my local NPR station is named Megan Berks. Every time I hear them say her name I think to myself "I bet she does..."
Hey where does the "Berkeley" insert come from? What's the reference to? I imagine it's a dig at Berkeley,CA. But thats my biased opinion.

No wait, it was this one:

The Bezerkely was the most ambitious GRM magazine project and it pretty much ended in failure. It was a widowmaker of a car that really tried to spend a lot of its time on track upside down.

And every time you mashed the throttle you dropped the F bomb, as it tried to kill you.
I used to know where that car is, but after Curmudgeon passed, I lost track of it.
Given the recent "back in the day" threads, the staff should bring it to light again for us newer members. Also,,, a resurrection of the car?!?!? In memory of curmudgeon?
If I remember correctly the filter words came from cars parked in the GRM paddock at the time the filters were set up.
Not sure who was driving a Bob Costas at the time though...
Last I heard the motor, body and frame had gone 3 different directions. But yeah, after Mike passed, ive not heard mum.

I think that was Marjorie.
Uhm.. I mean, not that she was driving him, or he was driving her...
... that is, she really had a thing for him..
uhm, like by "thing" I mean she really hates him, not that she's hot for him.
Clear?
Yeah, and a E36 M3 was the E36 M3, so that's how that one got the name. I suspect Margie had something to do with the Berkeley name remapping.
I wonder if the makers of the movie knew that "Berk" is an insult in England? Meaning variously "stupid", "foolish", or, and here's an odd one: "vajajay".

As mud.
If only there were a place we could go to to read about the filter words. To be fair, that page doesn't include the backstories, but only the meanings.
Bob Costas the filter word came about before the whole pink eye olympics, but watching Bob Costas the person during those olympics cemented the deal for me. I can't stand that guy and it is Marjorie's fault. Before then I never realized how irritating that guy is.

I thought it was because the E36 M3 (car) is the E36 M3 (excrement). Meant as a compliment.
