a friend of mine in madasdian, wis is haveing issues trying to figure out why his car is runnning really rough likes its getting to much gas or something like that. he has just gotten a new intake and some other work down this summer and here is the issue that he is having, anyone want to know more i can forward contact info since even all the tuner shops in madcity can not give him a str answer and no one can figure it out.

96 suzuki X90 4 wheel drive, 1.6L 4 cylinder 16v aluminum pulleys, aluminum flywheel, shorty header, complete high flow exhaust 2", crank scraper and windage tray, rear diff locker. Now for the problem, custom hi flow stepped intake runners, 1.6L plenum, bored and sleeved throttle body, mass air sensor, throttle position sensor and o2 sensor have all been replaced and the engine still idles at 4 to 5000 rpm. It runs very rich.

get a 5 gas test done to see if it leans out a little over time, this will enable you to determine if it is a mechanical problem or an electrical problem (mechanical problems always get better with rpm, ignition problems get worse or have no appreciable difference.)
the gas which indicates afr is CO
Hydrocarbons indicate misfires
I'm assuming that since you know it is running rich the plugs have at least been checked, is the fuel pressure normal or too high?
check for restrictions in the intake system.

Good luck with the problem, hope it's fixed asap
