Though I'm no sure about the whole Cleetus McFarland persona, I have to give the guy credit for what's he's accomplished, and his most recent jet boat video is very well done. More than a little bit like autocross.

Back when Speedvision was still a thing, they used to show Aussie Jet Spring racing all the time.
Boats that need roll cages are awesome.
About like watching Isle of Man... tremendous respect to the people who do it, but I'm at an age now where I'll sit on the sidelines and cheer.
The guy can wheel. Pretty awesome all of the opportunities he's getting from the YouTube success. Hopefully he'll dig out a track at the Freedom Factory.
If that went on in my area, I can see myself getting into it (when I was younger). That video did answer one of my questions: what happens when you end up upside down in the water. The answer seems to be to figure you're on your own for maybe 30 seconds. I was wondering if they carried supplemental O2. Doesn't look like it.
I could see a time where one of these tracks is builtuo here most likely in the Edmonton or northern alberta area. Pretty much all jet boat racing is in northern alberta or bc.
this is an jet boat race video from this 70s here in alberta. About 9 minutes in you see former Edmonton oilers owner Peter pocklingtin driving his boat and former oilers general manager glen slather getting thrown out of it
